of course , up to the point where , u dont get any reward other than finishing the quest
yea as usual the "elites" have the word but remember:the game u play was financed by a lot of other
disappointed players too, and if u think theyre gonna keep it going for 200.300k subs,,oh yea, sure they will
and is there any F2P model that havent got any P2W too?
even if u do get new content? u rip through it 2 weeks and yell for more,,if u dont u whine about its being too hard

u can cling to TORtanic if u want, and claim its fine , but sub numbers seem to disagree with you
enjoy the happy F2P crowd,,some of them are bit ..peculiar

2 years of earth&beyond
5 years of wow
2 years CoX
1 year perfect world
1 year AION
2 years STO
and im not even counting the total failures like warhammer and conan
believe me i know low level MMO, and if u dont catch the player there,,they will leave again soon
the formula is simple: X mobs x Yclicks= Z fun
if casuals had the tool to tweak that, we could all be happy
but theres always a new MMO on the horizon,,,TERA is actually really good, and the most beautiful game ive
ever seen,,,and TITAN is supposed to be the best to come

and no i didnt say all of those games have failed,,in fact AION seems to be on the rise again
i said , that when devs listen to the few at the top, rather than many at bottom, they will get
a "top-heavy" game ,,only expansions will be PVP maps and high level content
STO did that,,suffered
WoW did that ,,and they still suffer
i havent tried AION for a while, but im guessing they have tweaked their gameplay to be less grindy
and made it easier
im downloading AION now,,,and oh yea ,,i can play for free now,,does that sound familiar?

I kinda agree with the OP, lv 1-49 some of the class or solo quests can be very difficult. I dont know if it was intended but I found this for my sith inquisitor more than any other class. Maybe its the light armour, the lack of defence or something else. I think the issue may be that at lv's 1-49 I was consistantly undergeared. Re gearing at ever level is almost impossible so I ended up in green gear several levels lower than my level.

Thats the thing. For almost all of my characters one or two levels above the starting level for a planet is sufficient. For my Consular and Inq it needs to be 5 or 6. That is telling.

I'd have to say that if anything the enemies in this game are UNDER-powered (for the record I'm a casual gamer).

Until a person has gotten to level 50 they can't really say that the game is too easy or too hard. My rationale is that it's always going to be hard the first time around because you're learing. What generally happens is that you create an alt and can't believe how much easier it is on that alt. Then you assume that that class is simply better when in reality you've become better.

while i know that there should be a challenge, these are the things that scare away lots of casuals

and worse: to go and grind levels in a game with so few choices quickly gets boring

an extra low/medium level planet with missions would help a lot

i just got to alderaan, theres a mission to defend turrets, 10 enemies shooting at once is pretty OP

for a lot of players
Suggest sticking to starter planet if you want EZMode.. learn to play your characters and understand its abilities. Then you will begin to learn what works and when on particular mobs. Keep your gear tweaked as best as possible, even if it means using an alt to craft you better gear through the levels to give you a fighting chance of defeating Elites or end bosses, which in turn should award you with better gear or higher mods you can rip out.

Other than that bite the bullet and recruit someone into group or do the run kill, exit, re-nter thing until you one on one at the aprropriate level..
As for quest lvl and mob lvls being different.. yeah and so they should include a difference but that is a controlled mechanic... look at how many times a mob spawns that is either a lower level or the same with deficient HP and abilities in comparison to your own toons... its only right that quests have a challenge for players to work out.

Although this plays out more along the SPRPG line imo.. its supposed to an MMO that should promote group play, and storylines are no different but if grouping isn't your thing then bite the bullet until you have learned the tactics, gained the experience and the gear... I for one am glad its not all run kill win

There are a couple of class bosses and specific mob types that are massively over balanced for some advanced classes.

I can think of a few bosses I couldn't beat without 1-2 helping (even when slightly overlevelling) and the silver melee mobs on Quesh were a nightmare as a SW.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

"learned tactics" i was tanking 45 min baron run while u was still a glimpse in ur mothers eyes
and let me tell u: apart from a short feeling of satisfaction, it is not worth the hours of work
fact is: u beat the content, they just make it harder
like i said challenge is ok, but keep it where it belongs,,at high level , where the player has more need and actually want it,,all below max level is "the flytrap", that should make the player want more,,not less

a game that loses so many subs in so short time, usually change their gameplay,,but maybe
they had planned F2P from start? i like star wars ,and this could really be the wow killer
(except they killed themselves) but they need to make the game more accesible, not free to play,
but fun to play,,then the players (and money) will come back
sadly they listen to the athletes rather than ordinary jogger
but the jogger wont pay for olympic stadium, he wants a small path close to his home
u want ur stadium? u pay for it and give me my money back

You had trouble with silver melee mobs on Quesh as a Warrior? Were you doing it as a Jug or Mara and was your gear decent?
