F2P is Costing the Payers

Well... what we paid for was no content since April. That`s 50 cents a day to ride the same broken merry-go-round.

well actually its not costing the players hence the term "free".

I'm simply not stupid enough to think that I'm entitled to more than I'm paying for or that EA/BW somehow needs to give me something. To even entertain that thought shows that one is egotistical and downright stupid. I dare you to find anywhere in the EULA ot TOU that promises you that EA/BW will regularly (it will give a time/date since it is a contract) give you updates and new content. You won't find one. You agreed to those contracts so don't whine now that Bioware needs to give you something more than you agreed to.

I believe this is where we differ. It's not broken nor is it a merry-go-round for me. And even if it was I wouldn't belabor it every chance I got. I'd simply be elsewhere playing something that wasn't broken.

Secondly, what aspect of F2P do some think the devs are working so hard on? The cash shop or something? Because that probably has zero to do with the artists, modelers, scripters etc. Most of that is managers sitting in offices decided what to sell and for how much.

Now why on earth would you put words like that in someone else's mouth? Time to market is time to market. The more complex a game's foundation is the longer it takes to embellish. And I'll believe a 75% loss of customers when I see it. Because when I log in I don't see it ... not even close. As a subscriber that's the only place where it counts. Drooga's had 183 in fleet last night - and that was in the 3rd instance. Begeren and Jedi Covenant are close behind. I really wish people would stop making stuff up to discredit who or whatever it is they are trying to discredit.

Just a bit of trivia... doesn`t it look like the smuggler`s Campaign gear looks like Robin Hood?

Hey Mr Rose-Colored glasses, you do realize they shut down 80% of their servers right and forced merges? Wow, get in touch with reality bud. At launch Ebon Hawk was 200+ on the fleets at any one time. Now, even after all the merges it is between 80-160. And this doesn't even take into account that fewer people are on the planets than at launch.

Funny stuff. Glad you made such a concerted effort to prove that I defend a game. I think. Fortunately for me all I have to do to prove my point is log in and play. Feathers are optional. Oh wait ... unless you care to join me (usually on Drooga's, but I have alts on Jedi Covenant and Begeren) I'd be the only one amongst we two who can verify what I see. Since the odds of that ever happening are (metaphorically speaking) zilch, I suppose it really doesn't matter.

If folks choose to express their support for something by publicly tearing it a new tweeter, that's between them and their tweeter. I personally choose to express my support by paying and playing. Submitting tickets is the norm when I encounter issues, and I've posted my fair share of complaints in these forums. I just won't complain about the same thing a hundred times; nor will I carpet bomb the game, the developer or the community in pubescent angst. I'm adult like that.
