This game could learn from SWG

I dont do ops or fps, cause im not into them, no big deal...

i mean from what i read, anyone who liked swg is an idiot and not a real gamer and swtor isnt our game- but it is your? hmmmm.... reading these forums i came up with the best possible solution for everyone:

JUST GET RID OF PVP!! its that simple...

1.by doing so all the pvers who are so against pvp/swg features/sandbox and say that its a strictly pve game, could then trully call it your game and the devs could focus all their energy into pve only
2. all the pvpers would leave thus saving them the $15 a month they currently pay for a single player game and they wouldnt be on here whinning about owpvp/rvr etc
3. then the game would eventually fail cause no one would continue to pay a monthly sub for a single player experience...
There are a heck of a lot more PVE servers than there are PVP/RP combined. It makes no sense to turn a PVE oriented game into a SWg wannabe. Be it World PVP tuning of classes or Uncle Owen play.

Get rid of PVP? They never should of advertised a good PVP game in the first place, then totally screw it up. BW has made PVE games all these yrs, and advertising this game as being a great PVP exp was asking for trouble.

For the ones left, it isnt worth screwing with the PVE experience in an effort to try to get those folks back IMO. All I see BW doing is managing to make everyone mad, rather than sticking with what is already a focus, and really should of been their only focus....PVE.

PVP/Owen works best in sandboxes, and this isnt one. Which is despite the fact we have SWG fans spamming the boards in an effort to NGE this game into one.

For those saying some of us have major issues with it....yes we do. Just like you guys have yelled for 7 yrs cause your game was changed. You are trying to get them to do the exact same thing to this one.

I was a huge Anarchy Online player..... General of Lost Chapter - Clan. A bunch of us went to SWG and hated it. I am really enjoying SWTOR a lot more then SWG. I could explain better, but it gives me gas......

No one is asking for a sandbox swtor. Adding features from SWG that were nice is not asking for anything that would alter the current core of this game.

Saying otherwise is just arguing for the sake of arguing.

Features that were nice from SWG could most certainly alter the core of the game. Combat active pets for example. The OP was intent on grabbing just about every feature from SWG that could be named and adding it to SWTOR, or replacing a current system with a SWG one. This makes it really difficult to have a good discussion about particular features from SWG that could be implemented.

Owen, and the non combat classes
Crater centric loot system
housing in the open world

Basically all the stuff that made SWg what is was, and has no place in this game.

The only thing keeping this game active as far as I know is being able to hit other PLAYERS with LIGHTSABERS. The only reason that the pve servers have higer pops is because there are better coordinated guilds doing pvp there.

Ill just use Canderous Ordo as an example to prove my point. I know for a fact that there is an imp guild over there that just runs 2 rated groups. The losing team gets to swap out one player from the other team. That is how you get a population of good pvpers, and thats why people are going to that pve server.

Here are my suggestions for SWG inspired features.

Make our starships our home, with the ability to decorate inside and out SWG housing style.
Personal crafting, ability to crit, all armor convertible to orange gear, all armor color changeable, slice to improve stats.
Mission terminals with standard fare VO mixed in to random generated missions.
BF2 style persistent space battleground.
Ability to train animals as slower mounts and build solo PVE combat assist droids.
Minigames like racing, pazzak, etc.
Ability to hide chest, left, right or both on back, shoulders, hands

Those are the major ones I think should be added.

the thing is, the star wars universe has an IMMENSE lore. this game has so much potential its not even funny. expansion is nigh limitless. SWTOR is one year away of solid content updates before its where a star wars game should be.

it sucks but i look at Rift and its 20 months of run time and i see a game thats where it needs to be content wise.

one more year folks. dont you worry, one more year and swtor will probably be one of the most content filled epic star wars experiences of our generation.
