that video still looked like it was on rails still, if that is the future of TOR space combat then i am not impressed

After viewing it I think they are just using real space physics rather than rails in that video. If you've seen Battlestar Galactica you know what I mean, when the ships turn on their axis while still moving in one direction.

It was capital ships combat, which for most people involve also smaller crafts support, and without free space it can't really be done.
I don't think guild ships even were on that list.

That's a great video, thanks much for posting it.

Seeing that, it gives me great hope as to what the BW team will be able to do with it. I can't wait for the reveal of what we'll see!

I still be that the super secret space project is just on the rails space "flashpoints". I maintain the belief that they don't understand what the playerbase wants and never will (at least until it is too late, some would argue that it already is for this game).

It's been real but the game just wasn't worth the sub for me anymore.

The secret is that it will cost $30 and require a subscription!

I agree, I think it's just going to the same on rails experience but with multiple people on multiple rails in the same space instance

I hope I'm wrong, but that's my guess of what is easily achievable with the current system, but without any hints or even a timeframe from BW it's all purely speculation and guesswork

Yeah Star Wars usually uses "Hollywood Physics" (i.e. atmospheric flight in space), which isn't realistic (even when they try to make it so in the books), but is a lot of fun.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

If the 'super secret space project' is indeed 3D space combat (like JTLS in SWG) then I would pay £30 or even £40 as it would pretty much be an expansion by itself. if it's just hard mode or more of what's already in game then I wouldn't pay a penny.
