As far as the game stands, it needs work.

Class imbalances are ripping the PvP crowd apart. Bioware needs to focus on making all classes at least sustainable in a 1v1. And PvE lacks any kind of depth and doesnt feel as though your character is even connected in the world at lvl 50.

Only reason I keep playing the game is because I'm hoping they will be adding more features in the near future a.k.a 6 months.

Space combat? Needs help.

PvE? Needs more content.

PvP? With the warzones so tightly instanced the way they are and focused on 8v8 matches. We simply need more warzones to keep it fun. And without forgetting to mention, Rated Warzones needs a facelift. Que times are extremely long, you face the same team over and over, and there isnt a new gear set for those who are accomplished in Rated Wz's. Yes the color of the gear changes, but the gear itself is the same as the regular war-hero.

There just isnt enough incentive to que for Rated Warzones as it stands now. You see more premades in regular wz's facerolling pugs because they cant beat the teams in the Rated Wz's.

Like I said, in 6 months if the game hasnt addressed those issues above. Im outta here.

I know this is your opinion m8y and i respect it but PvE lacks content?? Come on man get real here, im allmost online the entire day, have 5 alts, 3 50's and i still have tons of stuff to do and buy for my alts. We have yet to kill kephess HM (it will be a matter of time tho).
The only thing i complain here is the end game loot tables, they really need a tweek and improve a bit the design of armors.
We have 3 Operations, more than 10 FP's and 4 WZ's, not to mention everything else. SWTOR had the most pve content release for the last 10 years on any MMO with its age, only comparable perhaps with RIFT.

As for PvP, i believe everything is fine with it apart again from the loot tables, i mean come on. RWZ's that the loot you get from that is exactly the same as from the NWZ's??? It just doesnt make sense whatsoever. Burst damage needs to be decreased, its getting too high and some classes need a nerf badly namely VG's/PT's and ST/MR's.

As for space combat, im with you on that 100%. Space combat is fun the 1st couple of times of playing it but after it, bleh not worth the effort. It doesnt give me neither that special pleasure or the needed rewards.

In fact the entire loot tables of this game really needs a tweek badly.

But all in all, the game still is amazing and has tons of potential, it only has 1 direction to go... UP!!
I saw a dark explosion. I sensed a power within. I felt the urge, the rage, the power... I AM REBORN!!

i dont put a lot of stock in the pvp argument. lotro does just fine without pvp altogether.

SWTOR is a great game, but i am concerned for its future. F2P in less than a year seems like bioware/EA threw in the towel awfully quick doesnt it?

personally i think f2p will HELP swtor but how fast the decision was made is kinda shocking.

Well looking at PvE gear wise, once you have full Rakata/Blackhole... The only thing that stands in your way is HM Explosive Conflict.

It takes people less than a week to get full Rakata... I'd know.

I never PvE'd on other Mmo's until TOR... and to my surpise it was the easiest content ive ever played.

The biggest problem was server population from launch until now. Everything spiraled off this.

They had over managed launch and set their hardware capacity much lower than it should have been prompting them to open a ridiculously unsustainable number of servers. Once the initial people that actually couldn't afford a monthly fee or didn't want to leave their current MMO unsubbed it got much worse.

Waiting until late June to merge was the absolute worst business decision Bioware/EA could have made. They lost people who logged on, saw that sub 50 people were online on the fleet, cancelled, and never looked back post March when things really started to decline.

For some reason they were hoping that 1.2 would magically solve all the problems and bring people back. The reality of it is no single patch in any game can do that. Isolate your players from each other and you cause anxiety, negative attitudes on the health of the game, and ultimately player loss.

In the future MMO games will look at the TOR launch not as the huge success they initially thought it was but a prelude to failure. I love this game but fracturing your gaming core population then taking 7 months to fix it was a terrible decision and cost them everything.

Actually I think F2P will make a difference. Lot of people who were turned off by what they read on forums will try if not just to see if it is that bad

Human nature....

And then who knows... BioWare promised to bring more content... we might see renewed interest in game.

P.S. Besides the hype for the other game will worn out in a month or two...
Deep in the human unconscious is a pervasive need for a logical universe that makes sense. But the real universe is always one step beyond logic.

I disagree and ive been a PvE hardcore since 2003-2004. U may tell me that EV and KP when it got out was easy and it still is but EC HM is not a walk in the park. Sure some peeps will make it easier than others because their guild have more skilled players but it isnt easy, even EC SM, there are some guilds that arent able to do it.
LI FP, there are still players refusing to join a pug to do that.
Only 3-5% of an MMO community will be able to lack content cause their guild have a larger percentage of good players but that happens to every MMO in PvE and it will keep on happening.
But to tell that the current content is easy is just over the line here. You might talk reguarding EV and KP but the 1.2 content and we still dnt have EC NM so... and i bet with you that there are still guilds that havent made neither KP and/or EV completelly in HM/NM.

F2P will help with populations for a short while, however subscriped players will hardly see a difference.

Bioware expects F2P players or exteneded trial players to pay them money once they complete the story mission to lvl 50.

What Bioware fails to realize is these players will never drop a dime on TOR, like they said... They 'love' the game however they would not pay to play it.

Bioware never should of went after this 40%.

Well I dont disagree with your points... But the majority of the community is use to lame walkthrough flashpoints that by the time they start reaching these HM Ec's and whatnot. Its too much of a learning curve.

The concepts behind HM EC and SM EC are simple at best, but the majority of players aren't ready for this content.

For us hardcore PvE'rs its not alot of content, and the guilds that have completed HM EC are scratching their heads.
