I hope BW/EA sticks with this game for years to come....

This is a great game, as far as MMOs are concerned. I started with Ultima Online and moved on to SWG until the NGE hit then I bounced back and fourth between SWG and WoW. I think this game has tons and tons of potential and if handled right it can bounce back from the loss of subs but here is the thing. WoW has ruined the MMO universe, yes they ruined it. People want something different and something new, the problem is this, when they play something new they complain that it isn't as complete as WoW, well that is because it is new. When they play a different style of game that is nothing like WoW, they complain that it isn't as easy as WoW. SO they complain about that. MMO's were not made for millions and millions of people, rough;y around 200 to 500k people, but WoW has made the companies think that if they do not produce WoW type numbers that they are a complete failure. Not so. If WoW was not out and this game was, it would be the talk of the video game world and praised all over, we all know it would. But since WoW is well, WoW, everything else must be as good or better or it's crap, at least thats what the WoWers thing but it is just not true. I think this game is amazing and that BW/EA should take what they have and start doing more things in a different direction away from WoW to give people new things that WoW doesn't have. I love the game and I fully support it and will continue to pay a sub fee as long as the game is here. Thnx for taking the time to read.

I am hoping it sticks around at least as long as SWG, but after listening to an interview with the lead writer, it doesnt even seem like they are certain chapter 4 will ever be released.

I think it has a ways to go to fulfil its potential, and I feel F2P could stunt that potential. but I hope EAware can stick with it and keep it alive for 10 years

So do I...so do I.

I'm sorry for the next bit, but I have to get this off my chest.

It just pains me that it seems like this game had a target painted on it's back from the moment it hit the shelves. From players to gaming journalist sites, it seems like so much, too much, is against this game.

It's getting depressing and disheartening hearing the defining cackles of those who are just waiting for things to get really bad, and screeching with glee at even the smallest of mistakes. I'm not talking about normal MMO gripes, I'm talking a concerted effort, a never ending wave of un-needed doom and gloom.

TOR is getting stomped on, over and over again. It's not getting a fair shake, if it ever got one to begin with. It makes me ashamed to call myself a Gamer, or MMO player, seeing how this game is being so unduly reviled.

I wish TOR could be left alone, alone to the people who appreciate it, and who enjoy it....who play it.

This, and it pains me to see it as well. As this is my first MMO, and since I am a hardcore Star Wars fan, I really want this game to succeed. I won't quit the game, but it seems that sometimes, if you want something to happen, you have to work for it yourselves a little. But no, I'm staying with this game forever, and am still loving it.

That's unfortunate. Planet storylines will never be as interesting as class storylines (and will not have the 8 times replay value that class storylines do). They are not personalized and very rarely have any interesting choices or hooks beyond "oh, the Empire and Republic are at war over this planet/area. Eventually you've defeated the leader of the opposing faction and found some innocents sitting here in a barn. Would you like to set them free for LS points or gas them for DS points?".

Guys, do not be so naive...
