Patience can only be expected and asked for, for so long. So far, 4 of every 5 people who bought this game, have quit it...and NOTHING has been done to alter that trend.
Everyone here has the option of, wait for it, coming back later. The people playing the game, surprise surpise, enjoy the game, which is why they're playing it. Also we're nearing patch 1.4, so I don't think "nothing" has been done to improve the game and add new content at this point.

Me either. I have no idea what QFT means.
I believe, although I'm sure I'll be corrected, it means Quoted For Truth, which really doesn't stand up as a phrase anyway. Maybe that's why they abbreviated it. I think I mean I agree with you.

TUX's i respect your opinion. And i understand your feelings, i really do. I do not wish to start an argument as that gets us nowhere. I have made my point. And perhaps, i have made analogies that did not fit. At the time of writing they seemed adequate.

You have been waiting a long time, I understand that. But sometimes, thats what it takes. Even if it IS a very long time. A company such as Bioware should know better. I said as much. But, as they have said; They have been under certain changes of late. Thats bound to put the stoppers on things. And put production back a fair bit.

They have made promises that you all expected to be upheld. Giving you hope then destroying it. Thats unforgivable. And it can be understood why you are upset. But sadly, thats companies for you sometimes. Even the most reputable companies make monumental mistakes. Its whether we are willing to forgive their mistakes or not that matters.

Throwing a video out of what all is coming is not good enough. The developers give such general info in their unspecific responses that its laughable. Why in the world can they not patch actual content into the game? Why in the world are we not given any timetables apart from ONE new operation coming next month and maybe ONE new tier of gear. Where are the updates? What is making this game worth staying in? I have been SO patient and I am sorry..but I am thinking more and more that whatever "team" of developers that is actually working on the game nowadays is in way over their heads, has no idea when stuff is coming out, and are just trying to market shiny videos to keep people paying. Level cap..new planet/..blah blah blah say all you want about that but for all i know that could be 9 months away, who has said otherwise? Start talking to us developers. I'll stay, just please start actually communicating and not hiding behind the guise of "i can't be specific".
Where in the TOS does it say your $15 a month buys you a certain level of communication?

You're growing impatient? You're getting bored? You sound like SWTOR is your life sad as that is. Go do something else and quite whinning on the forums.

End of line.

I think that that's fine. You are cross, fair enough. I'm not. I'm one of the 20% that really enjoy the game. I want more stuff and I want it as soon as possible. If it isn't coming soon, I'll wait. Plenty more else to do. Maybe the chef has let you down, maybe I turn up for his food regardless. Who's right? Who's wrong?

Development cycles to convert the game to F2P and appease the masters are not easy...nor are they fast. I feel ya. Making an MMO is a death sentence in the market these days and a death sentence with the masses. The bubble has popped.

How many people heard Bioware and Star Wars and were like Bioware is going to make a Star Wars MMO thats amazing. Whether thats because they are fans of Bioware (DA:O, ME or NWN etc), fans of Star Wars (EP IV - VI) or both (Kotor). This is born from a good experience in the past this brand name, that it maybe completely different people in charge of the project isn't as important as the name conjures up memoeries of playing through Dragon Age the first time.

Equally how many people are never going to trust SOE again after their handling of the NGE. Crazy I know the NGE is just a game and not something important but its how people felt. Same of course goes for nearly any product you find a supplier you trust you go back. Most people would purchase their online products from a well know store than creditcardscam.com.

So from a strong position of brand loyalty BW have managed to lose this with some customers over the handling of this game, I suspect DA:2 and ME:3 likely have some effect on this as well. Not that either of these games were bad they just weren't as good as the previous game. Likewise TOR hasn't lived up to the hype and then the handling of new content and dealing with the playerbase has been less than perfect.

Now if you came in knowing nothing about BW you may not feel that the Brand loyalty you have shown was unwarranted, but for others a 10 or so year love affair all the way back to Baldurs Gate is now over. Though whether BW stop existing when EA bought them out is another matter. Perhaps BW should just be remember upto DA: Awakening and ME2?
If you knew anything about bioware then you should of know their MMO was going to be a very linear theme park experience as all their previous games are the same way. They tell great stories but the game play is very linear...

Mass Effect and Dragon Age Orgins were both extremely linear games with cool stories...... Although I will say these two games (also KOTOR) are the only games that Bioware made that actually had different endings, the games that followed became very linear even with their endings (IE: Mass Effect 3) regardless of your choices it pretty much ended the same way.

Unfortunately Bioware made SWTOR the same way as Mass Effect 3 with linear endings and when they removed the consequence system with your companions they gutted SWTOR of any depth....

Anyways SWTOR turned out pretty much the way I thought it would, well maybe a bit more linear then I hoped for, but overall it doesn't surprise me where the game is at... In order to keep customers you need to create a world for people to get lost in, not a theme park where they have to stand in lines to ride the same roller coasters over and over again... When I was yYounger I went to Disneyland several times but after that I stop going because the rides became boring... I have a feeling the same issue will come up with GW2 also as that game is very linear overall, sure you have "dynamic events" but they keep happening the same way over and over again, so once you do it a few times it's going to become boring...

I don't think any MMO player is going to be happy with any MMO until they start making hybrid sandbox / theme park ones...
F2P is like driving on a long stretch of highway with toll booths every 1/2 mile

Yes we do...but if people are like me, once I decide to move on, I don't look back. Why do you think 1.4 is "coming soon"? Where were you told that? Link please? And just to prove my point, I enjoy PvP, as a PvPer, NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO IMPROVE THE GAME! We have LESS PvP content than we did at launch.

Quoted for truth.

Why do people insist on speaking for others when complaining?

If you have a gripe, present it respectfully, discuss it, and own it. It is your feelings being expressed, so own them and stop projecting IMO.

Hiding behind others by using projective terms (players, everyone, all, etc) making it sound like you are speaking for others is not appropriate. People do it, and then complain further when people disagree with them. It makes no sense.

If that's your personal style TUXs, that is fine. But you cannot use it to try to hold Bioware hostage to your needs/wants.

In reality, it is healthy to take a break from a game that frustrates you, with an intention to come back and check later to see if it improves enough to please you. There is no reason to take a scorched earth approach, but that is indeed your choice to make.

I would also offer that for your personal style of acceptance, it's probably better to NOT take part in MMOs early in their lifecycle. Every MMO ever released has been incomplete and slow to add features for some players. Better to jump in after one year if you really approach them with that scorched earth approach IMO. AND, playing PvE centered games and getting upset that they let you down on PvP is something you will likely never overcome in MMOs.
