Why is there a CD on quicktravel?

Can someone explain to me why they would make it dificult to meet up or help out someone on another planet or area? Have quick travel cost some credits and remove the cooldown. The planetary map system that is used in your ship could be incorporated with it. Rapid quicktravel would hardly be game breaking. The leveling areas are way too large to begin with.

I agree and hope that subbing gives you a lot less of a cool down compared to free to play options!

Traveling time is important to MMOs. Everyone being exactly where they need to be within a few seconds is a bad thing.

Well once you hit 50 QT isn't even an issue. Most of your time you will spend on fleet unless you are lucky enough to queue up for a FP that happens to be on ilum. Even then you have a fleet pass (or passes if you have a security key). I wouldn't be against them lowering the cool down to 15 minutes, but to say that it is too difficult to meet up with someone is stretching it a bit far. Unless you are a level 50 on a mission to spend your entire day helping out guildies/friends/random strangers on low level missions I really don't see the current cool down being excessive.

Forcing people to travel keeps the worlds populated, they should remove the quick travel completely

I agree. Slap a credit cost on it and be done with it. It's absurd the lengts of schlepping around you need to do to get around in this game without the QT...

And I'm not even talking about getting from hub to hub, I'm talking class quests calling you back to your capital planet for one 2min chat. All the schlepping to the DK citadel and back to the spaceport just to get "debriefed" and "report in personally" is seriously facedesk inducing.

I completely disagree, in fact I am of the opinion that the flashpoints and Operations should be on the planets and you should have to travel to them instead getting teleported from a queue, more openworld less instances please.
