I suspect that Makeb will be bought with cartel coins, we get alot of those when F2P launches so it might be "free" after all

It won't be "free" if bought with ccs. The sub is what pays for the content updates. They said that subscribers would get access to all the content, while the cc stipend was to be spent on cash shop fluff. If ccs are used to purchase new content it means they are trying to milk subscribers by requiring them to save their ccs for new content while having to pay extra for cash shop items. Anyway, I just unsubbed and bought gw2 so I don't have a dog in this fight anymore.

I would not class this as milking at all. Why should you get free pets, speeders and potions just for being a subscriber?

...because why else would you subscribe?

hey guys, particularly the OP:

you have no one but yourselves to blame. you think your constant subscription to swtor matters? you think bioware has any loyalty to you as a paying subscriber?

WRONG.

this is what i did:

i bought the CE, participated in 2 betas, got 5 days EGA. played the game until i got unhappy with it and left back in late may/early june. let about 3 months go by, and now im back enjoying the game like i started.

so if you are not happy with SWTOR, then thats on you as to why youve been shelling out your hard earned money this whole frakking time.

you tote that around like you are more entitled because youve been a "loyal" subscriber. bunch of cry baby BS. you are a fool for paying into a company that has no loyalty to you whatsoever.

its pretty clear bioware doesnt listen to its fan base, so you are either in or youre out. dont like the game? unsubscribe. its very very very very simple.

i unsubbed when i was ready, and came back when i was ready. nuff said.

In other words, we'd pay so that we get the extra stuff without fussing around with Cartel Tokens... Surely this is obvious.

They can't lose a ton of subscribers as there isn't a ton left. The ton of players had already left the building. Just wait until the six month lapses are counted in the next quarter's report. Want to bet this game is "under a million but more than 200k."

Secondly, any subscriber now should be absolutely livid. I fell pretty confident most of the 1.4 content is done now and they are holding it off under after the F2P implementation in November, which means everyone subbing today is basically getting shafted on their subs until then.

Over and out on SWTOR 8/25....... Over and out on anything made by EA permanently....

I bet it matters to the few hundred people out of a job right now because of how many stopped subbing. I also bet it does matter to the remaining people who are sweating their jobs right now hoping to keep enough subs to keep their jobs.

This. After making this thread and reading the responses to it I realized that the problem is not only the Makeb update. BW has basically been feeding us BS and ripping us off since day 1 while severely under delivering. I'm definitely not angry or resentful. I did have fun with this game but it is simply not worth a sub. Especially when better games are coming out that do not even require a sub. This being said, I don't keep purchasing products from companies that rip me off, so, as the above poster said, BW and EA are blacklisted for me from now on. Take care TOR community, it was a fun ride.
