Datacrons need a change

After my first time finding them, I remember every location. On subsequent runs on alts, I get them all as I go. After all, you do pass by every single datacron (faction specific, of course) in the game at some point, even if you're not hunting them. So, if you get them while you are there it's not a waste of time at all.

Some are easy and some too hard. I don't bother now unless it's an easy one. Just a waste of time quite frankly for all the stat gain you get.

I enjoy the challenge of getting the datacrons. I am not in favor of changing them.

1. They are not a forced thing
2. They are fun
3. I know it can be frustrating, but they shouldn't remove them because u aren't good enough to get them.

Pretty weak complaint overall, given that I'm a hamfisted 31 year old playing on a laptop and the only thing that ever stopped me getting 'crons was the size of my toon (Linebackers cant reach a couple of them)

Might I suggest you reduce your settings to something more manageable for your machine and try again?

The Datacrons basically add the worst platform jumper ever to a mediocre MMO because...? To tell the players that the fanboys that praise BioWare need to remember it's part of EA and people hate that company for valid reasons?

So basically you just wanted the stat boosts.... no wander you hate them.

For me the datacrons are an interesting way to get my mind into doing something else when I am bored. Don't like them? Then don't do them the stat boost isn't that advanced a requirement that it should be done, its meant to provide a nice fun reward for you on how you found something secret like an easter egg.

I agree. Anything in this game that involves jumping is nothing but frustration. Also, EVERYTHING should be available for EVERYONE no matter your class as far as collectables. I fail to see how they make a collectible Codex entry list, but you can't get them all. A few are glitched, and some can only be gotten by certain classes, so, there is no way to get 100%. Who thought THAT up? Sort of defeats the purpose of a collection if you can NEVER obtain them all.

And, I really see nothing fun in obtaining them. Wandering around all over having to travel and get into places and having to even buy things just to get them. Some require you to have other people. And don't even get me started on the Tatooine one. 20 min to ride a stupid balloon? How is THAT not boring? id fire the person who came up with that. It's beyond ridiculous. I read some people saying that getting datacron's stops the boredom? I find the entire thing boring. As is alot of this game for that matter. After you hit 50 it's one long snorefest. I guess people like paying 15 bucks a month to do the same things over and over and over and over and over again.....

Datacrons are not mandatory. If you don't enjoy them or cannot quite manage the jumps then either move on or keep trying.

I found the jumping downright frustrating at first. I kept trying though and now I manage OK.

The only ones I'm not keen on are the ones where two people are required. Ie there is one on Taris where someone needs to press a button for you to be launched onto a pipe. For two toons I managed to get help, the second .. no way will anyone help.

Overall though, I enjoy massively getting them

Not if you have the wrong body type, you cant!

Datacrons are still fun though. The only change I would add is to make them a legacy item so all your characters get them once you find them.
