Does anyone know when (or even if) this option will be implemented? I haven't heard anything official about it from bioware yet or other players for that matter.

Thanks

Probally never going to happen. I know someone made a thread that it was gonna happen. But I doubt thats based on facts. Bioware never mention it any where from what I see. Been a long time since anyone mention it. I think the last time anyone did that was a few months back.

They should just add some Hood down and hood up helm that work with unify correctly, would be so much easier in the end.

All we know is that they plan to implement it at some point.
That's all we know, and I doubt you will hear anything else until BW makes a big announcement about it.
Asking for ETAs.... Better don't. It's pointless: some time between "NEVER!!!!" and "soon(tm)".

AGES ago they said that it is in works(!) in one of theirs Community Q&A. Was supposed to come in the first major update post 1.2. We're about to get 1.4. 1.4 and f2p changes sound rather major so maybe there is still hope. However we deserve to know if you guys are going to trash the idea and thus ruin the looks of a Jedi Knight class or you still plan to deliver us the hood toggle which was promised. We're paying for this game, come on. Hood toggle is the only thing I need to everlasting happinness in TOR.

I couldn't find the reference on such short notice.. but I remember hearing that Hood toggle is basicly a screwup from the get-go. In the initial way that gear was implemented on the engine they did not create a seperate 'entity' for the hood. This means that to allow toggling hood they actually need to go back several steps in the way gear is built up and rebuild this.

Now, technically, this is of course possible. But as an 'IT- guy' I realise that it's not a quick fix kind of thing and takes a lot of development effort to redo a lot of the work already done because of the changed standards to allow hood toggling.

Still can't find the exact quote though, can someone help in that?

They can go around fixing the hood toggle by putting the same robes that already exist with hood down variant. This will require players to have equip two items with modifications, but hey, we'll get our hood on/off. They DO HAVE hood down variants FOR ALL JK robes. NPCs wear them and you can see them in many trailer and pictures. Easy workaround, to add additional armor pieces.

BTW if you remember playing the False Emperor flashpoint - there Malgus actually moves his hood down from the head.
