Oh I am well aware...

However that doesn't stop me from kicking up a stink. That doesn't stop me from badgering. That doesn't stop me from pointing out, every chance I get, that they blatantly were dishonest. They want to clear the air, then they need to decide that we are entitled to that information.

You don't have to like it, but that is precisely the way every corporation works. In fact, that is precisely the way people work. It's just that anyone who does not access to such information projects feelings about this fact. Sometimes negatively. But all the negativity in the world is not going to change things.
Negativity does change things. BioWare destroyed their reputation. They can still salvage it, but they need to drop this secrecy act and come out and discuss with us what happened. If they don't then I can only assume, as is my right, that they don't care and that they never cared about how their fan base perceived them.

Case in point:

I loved Mass Effect... I bought Mass Effect 1, and 2 simply because they were BioWare games. I also bought Jade Empire simply because it was a BioWare game. I've bought just about every BioWare game ever made.

...

I didn't buy Mass Effect 3.

BioWare lost my trust, my faith, and me as a mainstream consumer.

Bummer man, you missed out on a hell of a game. I hope you can reconcile yourself to Bioware and enjoy their great games.

(not saying all their games are great, however)

That was a good decision, I can't bring myself to play any of them after I beat the 3rd one. Honestly, I feel that Bioware has fallen too far to be able to salvage their reputation, theoretically it is possible but I just don't see it happening based upon the decisions that they keep making. It is good to see you post Professor Walsh, I was wondering about you.

It's been real but the game just wasn't worth the sub for me anymore.

Thank you for the feedback Joveth. The most important thing missing from your community website and forums, and this has been pointed out numerous times by others in the past, is a total lack of Server Forums. If you want to begin building a better sense of community on these forums, my recommendation is that you create some Server Forums asap for F2P.

Now that SWTOR has downsized it's server count, this shouldn't be difficult to accomplish. Server Threads are simply inadequate and unacceptable, especially when they are constantly being closed.

I would say that the most important things missing from the website and forums are developer information and communication. It does seem a bit weird that there aren't server forums, though.

Isn't it amazing how 15-minutes at the end of a trilogy can lessen someone's experience of countless hours of fun before that .

Except, I hate to break it to you: ME always had a very mediocre storyline. It excelled in the personal storytelling.

It also had fairly mediocre gameplay. The attempts at providing something interesting and new in the original were mostly dead by ME2 (and completely by ME3).

The last 15-minutes just made you see the series for what it was.

I enjoyed everything else, but the ending just through the realistic feel out the door and made everything I had done up to that point, pointless.

I would have felt the same way if I enjoyed the overall story line. But I know what you mean; the last 15 minutes of BSG ruined the entire series for me. It went from something clever to trite in a handful of lines.

If I hadn't noticed that the ME storyline was a rather bad cut and paste from a certain influential and critically acclaimed PC game in the 1990s (but a commercial failure), I just might have thought it a better story than it was with the first two games.

Bioware could learn a thing or two from the Witcher 2, I just completed that and had a blast. The choices mattered.

This thread is way off topic but I couldn't resist. The gameplay was not revolutionary (basically a more fluid KOTOR 2), but I loved the story. I even loved the original ending. It made me think and when the Normandy dropped out of the Mass Relay hyperspace thing the music gave me goosebumps. I don't know what PC you are talking about, but just gotta say ME series was a winner for me.
