I would normally agree but they made it that way so people can gear their companions as well. I'm glad I have a set group of friends to group with though so everyone knows whos going to get what plus if and when our companions can get some lovin too. Although I just usually craft my stuff and give her my left overs.

It happened to me in BT. A BH needed everything and then said you won the item so why does it matter? - well when BH's can't use snipers and lightsabers it clearly does..

I think some people are doing this because its their first MMO and really havent got a clue but they need to change the rolls so you can't 'need' a sniper if your not anything but a sniper.

Companions do not need flashpoint gear, just give them some commendation gear, its not like you will need every commendation for your own character
I won't hesitate to troll if necessary

They need better loot controls on need before greed. If your actual characte rdoesnt' have X Skill or isnt' of X alignment you should only be able to roll greed or disassemble. I don't understand why their need before greed system just lets people roll for whatever they want its like they expect people to be honest or know all the social rules.

It would also be helpful if they had or plan to implement better group controls the group leader shouldn't be the only person that can remove..they should have a vote system so you can vote out loot whores.

If anything they need a boot voting system so you can vote out someone who's a loot hog. You can buy, trade or greed for companion gear the fact the devs let you need for it is a huge social disaster as there are alot of players who are new to MMO etiquette and they could be hurting themselves in the long wrong.

For New Players rolling "need" on items you specially can't use or rolling need for your companion can end up in you having less adn less people who will play with you and fewer and fewer guilds even accepting you.

"Don't group with anyone you don't know" is not a good solution long term; rather it is a workaround. Believe it or not folks, every MMO is a constantly evolving thing and you will eventually see this feature added because it's a Win for Bioware and players alike.

Look at it this way - if the game had launched with this feature already included, would anyone besides ninja looters have a reason to complain about it?

The game should give you Tools to control the people who have NO honor code. Alot of people don't give a damn if they're ninjas and I should have the tools to remove them or control their attempts at being jerks.

It's called loot rules, changeable by group lead, do it before the run, problem solved

So basically, everyone should just roll need on everything, or else get loot-blocked by everyone else doing the same thing. Got it.

"Fixing" the loot system will not fix broken people.
