I'll miss you, I hope you find that one very fun and special game that your heart desires. Perhaps we shall meet again one day.

It's been real but the game just wasn't worth the sub for me anymore.

So less of they they havnt done this or they didnt do that, they did exactly what the loudest on the forums wanted them todo and now people are complaining about it.
Its called quality. I could demand my wife make me dinner. She can make me a bologna sandwhich and call it dinner.

Other games can give those quality of life features and still add content at the same time. Rift has much more content then this game. They do so with much less budget, much less staff and less money comming in. EA/BW has no excuse on the poor quality they have given us.
James Ohlen: " For 2012 we really want players to feel like they're getting their money's worth. You're going to see so many changes and additions to the Star Wars Universe. It's going to be impressive. We have our Update 1.2 coming in the next week and then after that it's going to continue to roll out month after month. It's exciting."

As for the guy above you, that thinks Im skewed. Enjoy your sinking ship. Have fun being nickled and dimed to death for the next year... and then next year wonder why only 50k players are left and there are no further content updates. In 10 years from now you can continue to defend why games have moved on, even further, and why its ok to charge you every time to advance to the next level of the game.
Only nickel and dime'd...Only if I feel so. Stop thinking with you own pockets.

Thank you both. While I am unable to serve, I do all I can for those that can and do.

Worst part is 2 days after my transfer, I was informed we lost a guildmate in service.
It brought the whole battle of trying to get help to a ending point for myself personally.
I setup to step down and hand off guild leader to someone still actively playing as it upset me
to login after all the attempts at getting help, the other choices being made by devs were just
a side line influence in the end.

The most interesting thing I ever experienced in a multinational guild happened a number of years back. I had two friends that were actually on opposing sides of a conflict and both when they had a chance would play online together on the same team.
One of the most amazing things I have experienced in my whole life and speaks volumes for people of the world in general when you remove the politics of the world.

What we know right now:
1) Makeb is coming
2) It's gonna be huge and bring lots of new mechanics
3) It's gonna bring a level cap raise

What we don't know:
1) Whether subscribers will have to dish a few bucks and/or cartel coins to access it
2) EVERYTHING concerning the said update. We have NO idea what it amounts to, and how many hours of gameplay it will deliver

You guys ARE SO ANCHORED in the old WoW model, you can't accept the slightest variation on it.
Most MMO have had HUGE expansion packs for a price of 35-50$ every 3-4 years.

What if Bioware offers us a smallest expansion pack for 9.99 every year?
Could'nt that be an interesting business model?

WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE!?!?!?!

You are SO affraid of change this is pathetic.

And BTW you are getting upset about something that is NOT EVEN decided or announced yet.

And yes, EA/Bioware needs our money to make a game, and have it evolve and get bigger and better. If you are not interested or unable to dish out what amounts to a coffee and a muffin at the local Starbucks to get hours and hours of gameplay, you should rethink your priorities.
If your thread title is not a variation on "open letter... BIOWARE,... fail... NOW!", then you are a fanboy

The difference to me is that it does not make sense to me to pay a subscription if all I'm going to get out of it is access to Operations and unlimited flash points and war zones and have to pay for any content that follows. Your right that there are a lot of unknowns and I'll make my choice once there is more known as to what to comes but the constant flip flopping on the part of BioWare is at the very least unsettling. Its going to take more than buzz words like "expansion" to make me throw money around. Is it a lot of money? Probably not especially at $10 but just because it isn't a lot does not mean that you should just throw it away just because EA/BW needs it.

I think it's obvious that subbers in this game post f2p will have to spend their cartel coins on SOMETHING. If everything available in the game was available to subbers for free, (or at the cost of $15 per month based on the sub price) there would be no need for subbers to get cartel coins at all. I think there's a good chance subbers will earn enough coins each month to buy any new content, but we (I plan to sub) may not earn enough coins to buy new content AND the vanity items/boosts/etc the the store will offer. If that's the case, I'm okay with it.

I'm perfectly fine spending cartel coins on character slots, transfers as well as all the fluff they might put in the store I just think that as a sub we are probably going to be making more of a significant contribution to the development of the game that we should not have to pay for new content on top of that unless its a real expansion not what should be your typical content patch labeled as an expansion because its a buzzword that makes it ok.

You are who they are counting on.

$15 a month.
+ $45 a month in extras

Keeps the bosses kids in Ferraris!

But really the subscription model WITH having to buy everything as well? That basically means we'd be paying $15 a month for access to a couple of character slots.

It makes no sense, it would be madness to keep a sub if it actually gives the subscripber NOTHING they couldn't get by running TWO F2P accounts.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?
