If you charge subscribers for Makeb and similar new content trying to pass them off as an "expansion", I will leave your game for good, as will probably many others. I have subscribed since December, paid 15 bucks every month to subsidize your F2P shift and had barely any new content since then. As far as I'm concerned, given the lack of content since launch, subscribers have paid for one or 2 expansions already.

I think they already said it will be free.

Lets wait with complaints until it will be announced that it is paid content.
Deep in the human unconscious is a pervasive need for a logical universe that makes sense. But the real universe is always one step beyond logic.

They never said Makeb would be free, actually. They said unspecified content updates would be free.

When asked about Makeb specifically, Hickman said that they had not yet decided whether or not they were going to charge subscribers for it.

Better hope they don't take the $34.99 option as the one to sell then

once again complaints from speculation. I'd gladly pay 10 bucks for an expansion.

Actually they said it WAS going to be free. They originally stated subscribers would NOT pay for new content excepting true expansions. Now its maybe you will we havent decided. Theres other threads up with the links and I cant be bothered to link them now but yea look around its all here. They are already backtracking. If you think this is going to get you more subscribers BW think again.

Then you should have stopped paying a long time ago. When your sub rolls around, you aren't paying for future content, you're deciding if the game as it is then is worth paying $15 to play for another month. How quickly the game stops being worth $15 a month is up to you, and influenced (I would imagine) by how much more there is for you to do now than last month. No new content means people don't play as long. For pay new content means fewer people get it, so they don't play as long as they could.

If Bioware charges for Makeb, I'll look into what Makeb includes and decide if its worth whatever they're charging, and then buy it or not, but I'll totally be taking the monthly sub fee into account too. Ultimately, if the content looks good and I'm still having fun with the game, then I'll buy Makeb and not worry about what might have could have been maybe if Bioware agreed with me personally.
If they don't charge for Makeb then the odds of me staying on and paying my sub fee for longer than I would otherwise go up considerably.

Either way, I'm not in charge of what Bioware/EA charge for or how much they charge, but there's no reason for me to get upset about that since I am in charge of what I buy. There're are many other MMOs competing with this one to get my money. If SWTOR stops meeting my standards for paying/playing it, I'll stop doing that and try another game.
