Gotta say...if, as a subscriber, I have to pay 1 penny for Makeb...or any of the announced upcoming content, I'm gone and never coming back. There are too many MMO options right now for me to be a victim to a EA cash-grab. Take a look back at Champions Online's "Vibora Bay" expansion and see how that went over their fanbase. Hint: not good.

But if you think about it, you are going to pay. Everyone does. What do you think the Cartel Coins are for? To purchase stuff. As subscribers, if we where never expected to pay for anything, what would be the point in giving us coins every month? Our subscription covers all aspects of the game and gives us a monthly dose of coins. If the planet costs us 500 Cartel Coins, who cares? We get them right now every month for subscribing. Non sub players will have to purchase the coins, hence charging coins for the planet, those f2p people will be "buying" it. The rest of us will get the planet with our coins that given to us every month from our sub. If it ends up working like this, I fail to see the issue with it. Im not going to buy vanity items with my coins, what else would I spend them on? And if I have nothing to spend them on, then what's the point in giving them to us?

So why am I paying my subs exactly?

For playing as before and have not silly restriction while I have to pay for every new content?

And they say that f2p was a good thing...

The point in giving them to you is the same point in giving someone the first hit of crack for free.

It's been real but the game just wasn't worth the sub for me anymore.

They may do expansions like LOTRO has done:

First, offer the expansion with certain bonuses only for straight cash to all players.

Then after that, put it into the store for coins. But then, the expansion is split up so the player can just by pieces of it.

Players have a choice this way and can essentially pay what they want for the expansion. But if you wanted it all, and waited until it hits the store, it would be overall more expensive then buying it with cash.

However, in LOTRO players can grind for their coins, where as here they wont have the coins in game.

This is the link to the interview with Jeff Hickman where he says that they are considering charging subscribers for Makeb. He says the part about it at 9:35 in the video.

well, what's the point in paying for a subscription after the game goes f2p then? We need to get our moneys worth out of it otherwise we might as well just downgrade to a f2p account if we're going to get charged for normal content.
