Not much of a head start is it?

They need to extend the caps on these servers or allow guilds to transfer off.

The waves of EA kind of screwed my guild over. We were assigned The Fatman and the first batch of us got in and leveled to 20+ now the second batch is coming in to 3 - 4 hour queues and getting screwed over.

So now either the first half of our guilds screwed for playing on the assigned server we were given or the second half is screwed due to insane queues.

Either give us the ability to transfer off or extend the caps.

I take time off from work to play video games. I took a week off for skyrim, and I'll be taking a week off directly after the superbowl to play swtor. I'm a successful professional, but I guess your broad sweeping generalization is correct. I do have a few magazine subscriptions, so I have plenty of issues.

Now the ******** of the bunch will jump and say "Reroll to another server!" - Right like I havn't thought of that, did you consider the fact that some of my more lucky friends have played more than me and got to level 27 - 30 and dont want to reroll?

So my question is this, what sort of headstart is it where 80% of the people who bloody bought the game and paid good money for it.... CANT PLAY? I mean whats the point of doing a headstart if you're going to "soft cap" the servers to contain 1,000 slots out of 100,000?
You claim you do it for "server balancing" HUH? Did the thought ever crossed your mind to... I don't know - limit the amount of characters that can be created on the server? I mean seriously Bioware, I excpected more...

QQ over, got it out of my system, flame away if you wish
80% can't play? Thats a little bit of an over exaggeration isn't it? The server me and my friends were deployed to hasn't had a queue over 15-20 minutes and all 5 (5/5 = 100%) of us have been able to play since the day we were let in.

From what i've seen on the server select screen it would appear that 15-20 minute queues are much more common then 5+ hours.

Wait till all the $5 gamers leave. The queues will drop.
Looking for a good woman. Able to clean, cook, sew, catch bait, and clean fish. Must have boat and motor.

I got into EGA on the first day. I have played every day, and I have not taken any time off work. I have encountered queues, if I recall, on three occassions: One of 40 minutes and two at around 15 to 20 minutes. Every other time I have played, including last night, I have gotten in immediately.

Considering the way most MMOs start, with everyone suffering from the kinds of queues you are complaining of on virtually every server along with constant crashes and the like, yes, this has been a great head start.

I am sorry if you have been getting longer queues, but what you have described is not my experience nor the experience of anyone I know who is playing the game.

You have two options:

Reroll to another server and avoid the queue, but don't get to play with your friends who refuse to reroll.

Continue to play on your current server with friend, but have long queues.

Enjoy the queue!

Agreed. I have yet to see these 5 hour or longer queues. The longest queues time estimates I have seen while I have been waiting have been, ironically, on Harbinger and Swiftsure. Those have been over an hour a number of times. However, for my server, average queue time, when there has been one, has been in the 15 - 20 minute range, which seems to be average on the first page.
