No, all of my positions follow logically, instead of actually handling the argument you just denounce it as false.

Fact A: A player in blue gear has a gear advantage over an equal level character in same level greens: IE if I am a level 40 in level forty blues it offers a tactical advantage over another level 40 in level 40 greens.
Fact: In this video he announced that you would in fact be able to buy blue items.
Conclusion: In some circumstances the gear bought for money will offer an advantage over other players that have neither the time nor money to acquire equal or better gear.

That is what is known as a syllogism.

Dude, it' throw away gear, and only available up to what, level 30.

If you consider an easier time leveling to be pay-2-win, I'll just have to disagree with you. Seriously, I don't buy into the paranoia.

Again, you are completely missing the point and blatantly ignoring the OBVIOUS problem with low level pvp and how purchasing gear even affects those leveling on pvp servers where you could be attacked at any time out in the world.

Who wears green armor in this game? Especially in the context of low level PvP. Seriously, blue and purple armor is so common in this game the greens are vendor trash for the most part, except for brand new players with limited credits an no sugar daddy 50s in their account. And you can be in fully moddable gear by level 20 now with the latest patches, and in all blue mods simply from quest rewards.

The only people that would struggle with gear is brand new players, and giving them the option to obtain blue items in the coin shop AT BEST, helps them compete with all the veterans who have twinked all their alts.

So really, blue gear levels the play field for new player who don't have sugar daddy 50s already.

You are trying way too hard to conflate this into something it isn't.

Ok, so you admit that blue gear gives you an advantage over green gear and new players will be wearing green gear.

Now look at the fact that the free to play model is SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO BRING IN A LARGE NUMBER OF NEW PLAYERS.

You simply don't understand how this is going to affect open world pvp during the leveling process and lowbie pvp brackets.

You flat out said that it gives you an advantage, ok, so you admit I'm right good, but somehow you are still disagreeing with me? Over what? You have moved the goalposts so many times that I am absolutely convinced you are a troll, and a terrible one at that. So Ignored. Have a nice day troll. Thanks for admitting I'm right though... geeze.

You are too focused on the phrase pay2win. It is just a phrase like free2play. They don't really mean what they are being used to describe.

You can't really win in an mmo as there is no finish line. It is all about the advantage. A game should not allow you to buy advantages a non buyer cannot access by reasonable means. Otherwise the game just devolves into a credit card arms race and the one who spends the most will always be in a better position than those who choose not to.

Have a nice day..
So selling raid-gear, which is exactly the same as what can drop in the game while raiding would be cool with you?

Actaully, what I said is that blue gear in the coin shop helps level the playing field for new players, who otherwise will be at a disadvantage.

And no, you are not right, and I am not agreeing with you, no matter how much you want it to be so.

As for open world PvP..... there really isn't any in this game. It's one of the most virulent gripes from the PvP crowd abou this primarily PvE game. It's a valid complaint, but it is what the developers wanted so that's what we have. So your entire premise of low level PvP (implying it is forced PvP somehow between people in green gear against people who bought blue gear) is contrived hyperbole.

Several of my characters have green pieces for various reasons so please don't presume to know what everyone in the game wears. We all play differently and no one way is better than any other.

You are trying to put words in his mouth, for whatever reason.

I believe one thing everyone in this thread does agree upon is selling raid gear in the coin shop is bad.

Even the guy in the video agrees, by saying they do not want to imbalance the game play by anything sold in the coin shop.
