He made it quite clear that this was NOT the case. So please quit catastrophising.

The question over whether the release of Makeb is free or a paid expansion was what he left open as "not decided". New planet, new storylines, more levels, etc....... could easily grow into something that they choose to make a paid expansion. HOWEVER, even for this one, they have not decided to do that yet.
Before F2P was announced - HK-51 coming soon!
After F2P was announced - We dont know when we'll release HK-51.

I think most of us took that as (or atleast myself), "Oh hey we could charge for HK-51 in the cash shop. Let's hold on to it while promising that it will come in the near future™, so that more people stay and we can charge them through the cash shop later!"

I think it's pretty safe to say, whether its worth it or not, they will find a way to charge you for it if they believe they can get away with it.

The future is very bright.. To those that actually watched it and understood it.. I liked his answers and where he is taking this game.. I didn't hear anything to complain about..

But then I know people will complain just to complain.. I would just prefer them to actually have a point..

Instead of making a vague post like this.. How about qualifying it by saying why you feel that way.. Just saying..

The problem with your post is both statements above say the exact same thing.. We never knew when HK-51 would be released.. Comming soon is not a firm date.. Nor is it any definitive measurement of time..

He explained how things worked.. How they were seperate and how they were on their own time schedule.. How they were all being developed by their own teams.. There is a team working on space missions, a team working on Makeb, and a team working on FTP.. They are seperate from eachother.. Things will be released when they are finished.. It has nothing to do with FTP..

This is why watching the entire video is a good idea..

LoTRO does the same thing for leveling gear, for convenience so that people who cannot find gear on the action house can still progress without delay in leveling.
Selling any gear with stats is pay to win.

I've said this before, I have no problems with them going f2p and I'm not sorry I've been subscribed up to now and my plan is to continue to stay subscribed.

I'll gladly pay for full-fledged expansion packs.

But if they start nickel and dimming me for content patches like makeb, that's it. A bridge too far.

Right there I think..

Over what I see in this thread is a bunch of people going off half cocked about things, when they didn't actually watch all of the interview from start to finish and listen to what the man said..

Like getting all bent out of shape over the cash shop selling stat gear.. When he specifically said and I will quote "Mid level blues." This will have no effect on end game or max level PVP..

Selling mid level blues, which are exactly the same as what can drop in the game while leveling is not..

Have a nice day..

Did you even read my post? Did you understand any of it? I watched the interview... twice... and some parts of it more than that. Your intro claimed I'm wrong but then the body of your post flat out agreed and corroborated everything I just said. I don't think you have any idea what I said. Did you even mean to quote me or did you mean to quote someone else?

Look if 'some blue gear' brings some cash will turn soon in 'some epic gear' and so. I dont take his words for granted.

I do hope it never ends with any gear but the f2p option in this game is not cos this is the 'future' of mmo. If they had over 5mil sub and steady do you really think they will went f2p in this maner? And we know the answer to that question.
Gentlemen....gentlemen!!! Save it for the Holodeck
