Not much of a head start is it?

You're all assuming that queues on every server progress in the exact same manner.

They don't. On one server the estimate might be higher than the real waiting time. On other servers it might easily be multiplied by a factor of 2-3.

obviously, people need to leave before you get it, but as im usualy loggin inn in prime hours I've never gotten in annywhere near the estimated time.

Can't say I care that much tho, we're still in early access.

I think this "five hour queue time" people keep ************ about is an over exaggeration.

Roll a char on Freedon Nadd , we will wait, post us your screenie to show us.... then prove we are wrong by showing another screenie showing you logged in..... see you in around 5 hrs if we are correct, a lot sooner if your right.

btw - don't get excited by the est queue times they are worthless x2-x3 out all week.

Mainly cause the timers shown arent accurate. I play on "The Fatman" and it frequently shows an hour and a half as the queue, when in reality its double that or more.

I personally havent had to deal with it due to being self employed but my guild mates are getting hammered by 2 hour - 3+ hour queues.

That server doesn't even appear in my list, or I would.

I tried to take a screenshot of the server list on Friday evening. I had them sorted by population and the five servers on the top of that list all said 1.5 to 2 hours of wait time.

I know a friend of mine came over to play, we have three PC's which are used for various things, mostly business, but he was using my son's comp to try it out.

The line said, 1h 25m wait, he was number 884 in line.

It was about 5pm CST, and when he finally gave up and went home, it was ten minutes before 8. His position was 213 in line.

The "estimated wait time" still said on the screen, 1h 25m.

Now maybe he got lost in the shuffle. Maybe. Who knows. But I know he didn't get to try it out, waiting almost 3 hours and was still in a long line.

It's expected to have lines, no doubt. I can understand it and realize it's almost impossible to not have them.

However, some people only get a few hours a day to play. I am one of those, although currently I am on Christmas break so I have little work to do until January 2.

In a normal situation, however, I would get a couple hours a day to play..if that.

Spending that time in line means that I don't get to play at all. That means I may as well not subscribe, even if I love the game.

You can flame and say, "sucks to be you", but the truth of the matter is that some servers have enormous populations and it's a waiting game to play.

This is the type of things that will send players away, to another game. Now, I don't know about you but in my eyes the more people who leave the less money BioWare makes, the less they make the less they can do, and that means the less we get new in the game, less bugs being fixed and the potential of just completely shutting the game down.

Sure, that's the most dratic thing that could happen, but it's not impossible.

They need to get server transfers rolling for these high pop servers who have such long wait times. This will let some people move to a new server so they can play.

I assume they are waiting until the official launch, to see how many people are actually going to buy the game and not just playing the $5 pre-order time. There are some of you out there....

This needs to be a top priority, however. If people can't play, based on server's being full to the point of waiting hours to get in...they will quit. Quitting players is a bad thing.

I personally don't think people should have to wait more than 15 minutes to get in. It CAN be that way, but they need to act now. 1 to 2 hour lines are unacceptable.

As I said, if I wasn't on Christmas break I'd be one of those people who couldn't play at all because my entire available gaming time would be eat up by waiting in line.

Okay. I'm done. Flame on.

Cheers.

So because some of you don't have long queue times on your servers, doesn't mean all servers don't have queues.

I play on Legions of Lettow, currently the 2nd most popular EU based server. Last 3 days when I've wanted to play during peak hours, I've waited close to or about 4 hours in queue.
The estimated wait time doesn't mean a damn thing. It's a lie and it is wrong.
Today once again I'm logging on peak hours, I started as 1600 and that was 2h45m ago. Right now I'm 389th. Calculate how long it takes for me to get in game.

Bunch of ignorant fools, some of you.

SS or it didn't happen. I'd believe 2 hours.
in TOFN the queue can say "1 hour 45 mins". reality is I've been over 4 hours waiting to log in for several days.

the queue is an estimation, and an horribly optimistic one at that. people does the impossible to not log out due to inactivity, like setting up macros or the good old pen on keyboard. they know if the game kicks them out, they wont have another chance to login for the day.

The queue times have been wrong for me on anything over an hour. it was showing as an 1 20 min the other night and i waited over 3 hours.

Better to get your information straight before flaming someone.

Sure, you can be upset about queues... but you still could have rerolled. You still can. Don't act like the time you invested in the last few days is too much for you to go back on.
I understand people like their talking points and usually can't think past them, but c'mon you do realize bioware had a staggered start and placed guilds and their sister guilds on specific servers.

You realize this right?
