So... if I quote James Ohlen:

"We are really going balls to the wall in 2012. We want to prove to our fans that their subscription is worth it. That's what makes an online game successful. We want to make the ultimate Star Wars experience. There are a lot of fantasies for Star Wars fans that we have yet to provide but are on the horizon."

Is that Bioware bashing ?

Because switching to F2P surely is proving that our subs are worth it...
You are not your rig specs. You are not your K/D ratio. You are not your character level. You are not your sig.

You have threads open that are the most blatant trolling attempts, or flat out insulting non constructive threads of all time that were reported 1 or 2 days ago.

Also, posing the question, would you support this or pay X amount for it does not make a thread any less of a suggestion thread than any of the other idea threads that have been moved. It's still a suggestion. I could create 100 different threads asking if people would pay X amount for things I would like. Not moving those threads is an indication to me, I should do just that.

One of the most common criticisms we see is that the forums are ugly and that trolling and negativity drive away players who DO want to contribute constructively. We want the forums to be a friendly place to discuss the game, and we want to protect players that want to use them that way. That doesn't mean we want to eliminate negative feedback, but we do want to cut down on the insults, hostility, and other behaviors that sometimes make the forums inhospitable. We want to encourage people to provide us with useful feedback that we can take to the developers. We also want to remove people who are just here to insult others and bash the game for entertainment.[/QUOTE]

I have always thought the forums was just a place for people to complain. I read them and just shake my head. I rarely post unless I find something useful.. which is very rare. I hope this brings the change that MOST serious players would like to see.

It has everything to do with it. I can't explain it any better than I did before, it depends on what Bioware considers constructive and what we consider constructive.

It's been real but the game just wasn't worth the sub for me anymore.

When players encounter a bug or a source of frustration, not all of them are as keen to the forums as you may think, and will often post in frustration and anger. I think your new policy insisting players be "specific, provide details, and be constructive...or face bans" comes off as quite threatening.

I'm all in favor of cutting out the trolls, the rude people and anyone touting GW2 (or whatever the fotm MMO is), but to threaten people for posting about an issue that draws them to the forums to begin with is just silly. Not everyone who posts cares what your rules are, they may simply be upset by something they just encountered and they came here to tell you about it and complain about it. Every complaint, no matter how it's phrased, should be valid to you. Every CUSTOMER should be treated with some amount of respect by you, not threatened for not having a 'constructive' enough complaint. Threatening to ban an already upset customer just seems entirely counter productive to me.
in layman's terms....she's basically saying all the **** talkers are getting the boot...nothing more, nothing less.

there is a difference in constructive feedback and just plain talkin bad about the game.

I feel you are over analyzing what was stated.

SWTOR may be the best MMO game I personally have played. I love Role Play and the community on my RP Server is amazing. It totally makes the game fun for me. I like the F2P, think it is a good thing for the game. I only have two things to ask and any response would be appreciated from those in the know.

1. When will they introduce paid transfers to desired servers? I have some characters I would love transfer from the server they are on to the RP-Server I currently play on.

2. Paid character alterations to character after creation.......skin color, body type, gender, hair styles, etc.? In my opinion, this would help keep the game fresh for those of us that do RP.

Thanks!

What BioWare considers constructive has been made clear.

"Switching to" and "adding the option to" aren't the same.
Can we please just have our pre-KotFE SWTOR MMORPG back?
