Also, your last point's slightly warped, while not pointing the finger at anything but Subs Dropping they did say it was a chunk of 40% of the reason people left, holding the majority of the weight as one major issue. That doesn't mean they aren't noticing the other 60% and perhaps believe they are already taking steps to change that one.
It means they don't understand the real reason that the 40% left. 50 cents a day isn't a problem for people who have a computer and internet connection capable of playing this game. But 50 cents a day is a problem if the game isn't fun enough to log into frequently.

Compared to the norm this is not lightning fast. The first patch was already in development pre-launch. So were many parts of the second patch. Since then we've seen a few rounds of layoffs, and lo-and-behold, nothing meaningful has come out of this game in months.

I'm not a content locust. I have a family, and kids, play about an hour a day maybe 4 days a week...I have BIS gear, and nothing to do but re-run operations and flashpoints, play alts (which I do), and re-run the same four warzones. While those warzones are more than a game like say, WoW had at launch (yes WoW's first year was worse than this game's in every way shape or form, except for communication, and subscription retention) they are not a real endgame. WoW's endgame content was more difficult to complete, and took people longer to exhaust. TOR's content is incredibly easy, in order to cater to casual folks like me. Unfortunately, I'm as casual as they get, and the content is still far in the past for me because I'm an experienced MMORPG player.

A real end-game are the things this game is lacking, factional conflict (not limited to the same 4 tiny maps and game modes), a real dynamic world complete with world objectives, a world that you can explore (not on-rails planets with platforming mini-games for datacrons that are supposed to pass as exploration), guild versus guild systems (what was the point of allies and enemies? Oh right, nothing), Guild bases, basically ANYTHING to make this more than a gear grind is missing.

The suggestions are there. For some people re-running EV, KP, and EC, and these Four Warzones is enough - to some of us, it's a rip off. If you only PVP, you get more maps, and more detailed maps with Call of Duty, and there's a much smaller "gear gap" (I'm not one of those complaining, I have great gear, but the even playing field is what true PVPers want). If you're playing as a single player, why subscribe to an MMORPG. If you're an avid raider, there's no way you're not through the content already. It has nothing to do with us ravenously devouring it too fast. It's just not there.

Solo grinding and alts are fun - until you run out of content, which you will. At that point there's NOTHING to keep you playing this game. And from the looks of it very little to be added. If we know anything of the timetables they've set out so far, you will see very little of these things they've promised delivered on schedule, and they're barely anything of substance to begin with.

I was always fanboy #1...They've lost me though. I keep playing to spend time with my guildmates, nothing more. The potential this game had was utterly squandered. If it's "good enough" for you, that's fine, but for some of us we expect better out of the amount of money invested and poured into these companies to make this game a success.
From your response, you are not a "casual". You may "play casually now" (with regards to time spent playing) but, you know what you are doing. You are a Gamer. You are not part of the "new gamer" group to which games now seem to be targetted.

I agree with your points about how easy this game is. I feel the same.

The game is fine for me now because I don't play it as an MMORPG. It's a lobby game at best. SWTOR is basically a client server version of KoTOR. Becasue of all the pathing and on the rails feel the game doesn't feel massive. So I play it as such and keep my expectations as such. I am waiting for a new MMORPG. When it comes along I will be there. For now I play SWTOR because it's Star Wars and not Elves and Dragons. I am burned out on the pure fantasy genre. Space Opera will have to do until a True Sci-Fi sandbox comes along.

For months, I've blasted the haters of this game because I love it so much...but I'm finally starting to crack. I'm beginning to get real impatient.
Don't worry, a lot of people have been doing the same and then giving up. I remember, when first hardcore players started whining about lack of end game and etc. in the first month, a lot of people told them to go to wow as if they knew any better. Look now, you'll mostly see fans and people who regret for paying a single penny for this game. People still expect things from bioware .. and that amazes me considering how people don't even care to realize wth is going on.

A lot of people blame community, but this one that at least posts about the missing elements in the game before quitting. For months people literally spammed the forums to report bugs and then with many deleted threads a lot of people found out that bw doesn't really care for in-game reports and just copy paste the already-written "hmm okay we'll take a look at it" messages.

I've never seen such a frustrating gaming company before, it is almost like they are scientifically testing the customer psychology.. Awesome job BW, I wonder... if we will ever have a chance to play a decent SW MMO after your failure.

Yeah, I hear you man. Maybe I overhyped myself dreaming of what this game could be, instead of what it clearly was in Beta. The newness was enough to keep me excited - that I was finally playing a KOTOResque Jedi with friends was enough.

Now, I'm just subscribing for the friends though, and wholeheartedly depressed at what appears to be the death of any meaningful changes to the game with F2P coming.

I just don't believe the spin anymore. There's no way this is going to be positive. I defended this game over and over and over the last 8 months, and EVERYTHING coming from James Ohlen and the other EA cronies has been a lie, or a gross manipulation of the truth. There's probably one person left working on this game from the rate content and communication about said content has been coming out. EA got its claws on it, and now the true potential of this game has finally come out.

An awesome Star Wars chat room.

From this this thread: F2P players don't need forum access

Why do they just delete posts with no warning or nothing? I guess they don't want people to find out just how bad this game is- well your website is not the only website out there- look at meta critic or mmorpg- you have been slaughtered on those websites forums and reviews and I sooner read the comments on those to get the TRUTH then this farce!

There is also that article on youtube which shows Paid reviews - very stark contrast from these paid gaming mag reviewers to the actually gamers ratings!

Its a disturbing trend these game company's are taking!
Think of the gamers not your back pockets and perhaps this game wont fail!
Huh?

So what was the freakin'g point of your post then? You got both key facts wrong. I corrected you, not for your benefit but for the benefit of other forum members.

November was specifically stated in EAs earnings announcement PDF, and it was both posted here on the forums and been discussed many times on the forums.

The point of my post was about yesterday's patch and everyone largely being left in the dark about things that everyone really wants to know. Details. Not "November". "November" doesn't cut it as a detail. It's not that difficult to understand.
