Then I hate UO because it is the reason why my beloved Kotor 3 got axed.
Date Joined: March 2009 - Date unsubbed: 9/18/2012
It's been real but the game just wasn't worth the sub for me anymore.

You know what's even more shocking? No announcement of emergency maintenance tonight. End game is absolutely broken right now, can't be completed by anyone, and nothing is being done with any sense of urgency. A fix will be tomorrow at earliest, and by that I mean standard shut down time, which means we lose tomorrow night, too. At least two raid days are wiped out, and many won't be able to get in this week due to scheduling, including me.

Urge to play, fading. This last week has been about all I can take. I log in to my sentinel alt, one of only two classes I haven't seen the story for, and I stare at the screen and then go back to see if any new developer posts on the Vorgath situation come up. Nothing happens here, nothing happens in game. I'm AFK logged out more than in.

You know, Heroic Scarlet Monastery might be a rehash of 8 year old content, but I bet players will actually be able to complete it.
Yo. Droid companions need an operations vendor, too. My extra coms have to go somewhere, and I'd prefer SCORPIO to Kaliyo.

ahh.. UO was very similiar to Hello Kitty i guess.
Tamed dragons made content in UO pretty trivial. Dragons were the strongest in the game especially when you could heal them. The only worry you'd have was being pked while farming, but at the sametime you could just recall out if you were fast enough, though with a dragon you'd have to gate out for it to follow.

What is UO anyway, must have missed that massive MMO that was obviously so good ???
It was doing good. Problem was UO was a little head of it's time. Came out in 1997, back then PC was just on the rise but not necessarily in every home, much less internet. Not to mention UO was the first MMO ever.

I agree and for the time it came out..it is still to this day active with a sub model and has in some ways the best features of any MMO. I loved the crafting concepts in it. Not found any in any MMO as good.
Trust is something which is earned.

R.I.P
Star Wars: The Old Republic
Killed by Greed, and lack of Integrity

Hehe I can see the Obit now. “Star Wars: The Old Republic, born prematurely on 20 December 2011 after a 5 year hexmester pasted away today of SIDS. It struggled valiantly through parental neglect and abuse and finally succumbed on 31 July 2012. It was 7 months old.

SWTOR is survived by its older siblings KoToR and KoToR II, both still strong and happy games thankfully not adopted by their stepparent EA.

AD: Sorry about butchering your sig, couldn't figure out how to make it quote as you have it

Let me give a little background on who I am, so you can all see how bad this is.

I've been following Bioware games since BG2. I was a moderator at their old NWN forums (under my old forum name, Vulcano), I was a contract technical designer on NWN's digital download content, and I released script tools that were downloaded tens of thousands of times, winning IGN Hall of Fame awards. I spent a month writing dialogue for and coding in the unfinished Mischa Waymeet companion into the Shadows of Undrentide campaign (her sound files shipped with game, but her written dialogue and character file were incomplete, so I finished them). I worked on two persistent world servers, including City of Arabel, which ran for 10 years. No one could have been called a bigger Bioware fan than me. All this for free, including the technical design on Wyvern Crown of Cormyr, because I loved what they created so much.

Well, they just lost me. I unsubbed. That's how bad it is. The long term prospects for this game now look seriously bleak to me. The communication here compared to the communication at the old forums is, quite honestly, pathetic. I may return, I may not, but I need to get away from this for right now.

Nice work m8. I have had this forum account since Oct 2008, played in pre-release on Snowbourn and just cancelled my 6 month renewing sub because of this fiasco.

I have been trying to post as much as I can about it. Honestly though, do you remember the GF or the droids in Denova being bugged? I sure don't, and many i speak to don't as well. I believe if anyone "complained" about it, it was because they didn't know what they were doing.

That is why I unsubbed. If a glitch happened because they were attempting to fix a legitimate bug, I would not be so adamant. But what they did was pure nonsense reported by people who haven't a clue.

Most of the people who I personally consider to be great PvPers were "solo" UO PKers.

I do think there are a number of people who are good at team or zerg pvp, but have not seen a great soloer since early days of EvE.

TLDR version, yup I agree with you
