I dunno there are people on both sides ready to attack the opposing faction.

So find a forum that fits your preference, that is all.

I am VERY unhappy about today's patch and the pandering to the "non social", "non guilded", "inexperienced" MMO minority that this game has been catering to. I am here to voice my opinion on a game which has the exact theme that I wanted in an MMO, Star Wars.

Your post is pointless and damaging to the game. There will always be those that cannot achieve something and be assured, they WILL post and complain. Today's patch fixing whatever was "perceived to be broken" is a case in point. The developers are listening to someone, and it sure wasn't me. I am here now to complain about it, because without Denova or HM GF FPs, I have nothing to do in game at the moment.

So, maybe your post should be something like this:

"If you find that you cannot complete something that others are completing, disband the guild you created for the extra storage space and join a real guild that can help you learn to play. DO NOT go to the forums and complain that the game is too hard and they need to fix things that are not broken"

You see, complaints are fine, as long as they are not complaints for the wrong reasons. Like "I can't find groups in an MMO, but refuse to join a guild because I have no social skills and want my own guild"

Yes, swtor fans at launch. Then the updates came and people started leaving.. The reason you see this on most mmo's is shortly after launch gaming companies make knee jerk decisions and start ruining the game. After 4 major mmos played they all went the exact same way. 4 to 6 months in, the games all start going down the drain. This is why old school gamers race to max level check out end game content then move on. They know what is coming. Many thought BW would be different. Oh well...

I stopped playing Mass Effect 3 not because I didn't like it but I was ready to play the next game that came out. You should really learn how to process information.

Yea, seriously, the question isn't about there being complaints on any given forum.

The question is their severity; how legitimate are they, and how much of anything else is being talked about as well.

As I write this, SWTOR's general forum has about four topics on non-ranty issues on page one.

TSW's forums..? Huh. About four ranty topics total.

WoW's probably has six or seven non-ranty ones on main page.

TERA's about half and half.
Endgame gear grinds are not the way.

The thing you have to remember, and man I wish devs would always keep this in mind...The average forum posters (no matter what the game) are not the majority. Usually the majority of forum posters, are in fact negative personalities.

You get some that are cool, and have legit issues, or questions, but a lot of them just want to complain about something...and if you fix the issue...they will hate the fix and say it should never have changed. Then they will make it a point to relay their frustrations on the game, and then flood the boards with the ever present "the game is failing". Which if you pay attention, alot of these posts are from the same people.

I actually think it would be difficult to please any vocal minority anyways...

Happy players are busy playing the game. Occasionally some of us pop over to the forums, but upon seeing all the negativity and trolling we flee back to the game where we continue to have fun. Speaking of....

Currently MMO forums, most notably general, are like the evening news. Mostly bad, murders, robbery, fires, corruption etc. ("X class is OP", "why you lie BW??", "developers are dumb because of X" etc...)

With the occasional "happy" story thrown in about a lost cat rescued by a good samaritan to make it not seem so gloomy, complete with dumb awkward smile on anchor's face. (MMO equivalent might be a handy guide posted by someone).

All we're missing is a picture of a mod with a dopey grin to accompany the good post.

You are most likely to find anything substantive in the sub forums of any particular game. The ratio seems to be better there.
How shall I ever understand this world? There is nothing on which it is so hard as poverty, and yet, there is nothing it condemns with such severity as the pursuit of wealth.
