Sure the game is totally worth paying for as the best Star Wars Lobby Game RPG on the market.

I agree that they have content ready to be released and are now waiting for F2P which is just sad.

The OP is at one end of the spectrum while the haters are at the other and neither do any good for the game.

Who is saying anything about opinions being worth anything? Opinions are just talking out loud, how you feel about something. That is all

Actually there is a big difference between continually paying and still being subbed
I have like10 days left or whatever it is because I was an idiot to do a 6 mo sub

So no I am not continually paying I paid once. My server died I stopped playing. Transfers came I played for about another week and haven't been online since
Because the server mergers didn't change the game, it just increased the number of people I see, and ftp will do the same
I am really sorry to inform all you guys but this game is done.
It is always nice to be positive and confident. Hell I was a fanboi for month pre release and through beta and even 4 months in but reality is reality

Will.
Sure.
Though now the guys explaining all threads long how terrible the game is are all paying subscribers
All of these guys claim that they'll never ever touch such an awful game and still they pay for it, each month...

1st day "the game is horrible I leave!" 2nd day "yes now I leave, it's decided!" ...
10th day "look I'm leaving now!" ....40th day "and now it's for good sh*tty game I leave for good!"....
250th day "hey people on the forums, stop playing that game cause I'm leaving it, now, click, look I'm gone, what a horrible game!"

I've tracked the posts of two well known active whiners, who seems to spend all their time in the forums explaining thread after the thread that the game is baaad.
These two lied about their subs being canceled, and both of us still post and of course pay the subs since I started tracking them in April. We're in August, 4 months that they are paying for what they call themselves a "bad game".

This is what these forums are about. Laughable.
SWTOR will do fine with its F2P options, and the trolls -lets call them with their real name- will still be there.
Another post by someone who really lacks the facts. Several players signed up for a 6 month sub when the game launched and with the 30 free days play time and another 30 days free BioWare gave us, that means thier subs donot expire until sometime this month. Mine is good until Aug 16th. But very few of us have played at all the last two months or so. But we can still post. Go ahead...check my status.

OP, I hope you are right and the game does get better. However, just having a bunch of FTP players in itself is not going to cut it. They need to work on the major reasons they lost a lot of subs in the first place. To get returning players to resub and to encourage those who have played thier chars to level 50 to want to sub. If they treat thier old original sub players who have unsubbed like any rest of the FTP ones, it will alienate them.
Trust is something which is earned.

^QFT.

Not that I plan to unsub but I agree. EA/BW needs to find a way to win back those players to subs by fixing the game and incentivising those that unsubbed to resub.

Thinking about it all. I think it's actually one of the few games that's going to take off like crazy after the f2p option comes in. I'm SO glad it's not fully f2p though

I am also very confident that they will now give us more content more frequent because they were probably working on the free to play conversion that whole time we had nothing. I must keep up hope and optimism instead of being negative all the time! I honestly think it should have been hybrid model from the start. That way there would have been a HUUUGGE amount of people on this game I think. But at least they are doing it now. Thanks for listening.

Anyway, that's what I think!
I do know there is a huge amount of people out there that hate sub based games as much as some folks hate the f2p model, I figure those people will move in a take the spots of the f2p play that leave, from what I have seen games that switch to the f2p model, seem to make money games that did not try the f2p model, they are no longer here, the plug got pulled, I for one will continue to play, and see what happens
Do not dwell in the past, do not not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

Expectations lead to suffering

Same verse same as the first ....

OK once again ...

The gaming sphere is changing/has changed. Gone are the days of Hard Corps Gamers. Those halcyon days are long gone ( for the forseeable future ). Welcome to the new "gamer" days. Gaming has been mainstreamed. This means that it has been watered down so your average joe can have a go. Nothing is challenging anymore IF you are an old school gamer ( been there done that you know?). SWTOR was hyped to be all things to all people. It FAILED in the eyes of old school gamers (no challenge). It will however succeed in being the "new media" form of interactive "entertainment" (e.g. game) but will never succeed as a "game" as old school gamers define a game. Do I fault EA/BW for going Freemium? No. They have to stay in buisness. If they think it will generate enough revenue in this economy so they can keep the game going then, GREAT! But, all of you Freeples have to admit that you are just POSERS and just want things NAO and are not willing to actually "play the game as designed" and work for something that USED TO be a REWARD in game. Yep you can now epeen with all your "achievements" you obtain from the Cash Shop. You are the new 1337!

Who cares about the past. Focus on the future. I think TOR will be one of the few games that has a free to play option that will benefit from it. A LOT

I think it will succeed. It will just be a new form of interactive entertainment on easy mode for the masses. It is not a game to play as a serious gamer. There is absolutly no challenge to it as compared to older games. For many there was a sense of enjoyment in the pursuit of the achievment that some older games provided. I hope that someone figures out how to bring that challenge back and still make a marketable game ( marketable "enough" to warrent having a smaller more challenge seeking client base). The new games are not for gamers. They are for moms and pops, time limited peeps, and dabblers. Or so it seems to me.

Valkirus, you still trying to use facts to back your arguments? For shame!
