Actually,I do like the engine.I think the graphic looks good for an MMO on the cutsecns
I even think that the characters emotions looks better than the ones in GW 2, Westren art style>Asain art style.

The only problem is that the game can't handel the graphics that we see during the cutsecens.
Oh,and the engine can't handel Open World PvP.

BioWare knows that, they even admited it.

It has nothing to do with like/deslike . The engine is un-optimized and even without the high res textures it can't handel mass PvP and still suffer from FPS/server lags problems.

But again, some people can't handel the truth (:<

Ilum wasn't removed, it's still there, people just stopped playing there. FACT
Never had animation delay except when my internet is crap for a shot moment. Fact

I'll give you the swimming and day/night cycle, but it's ridiculous to call that mandatory in a game

Few can, I mean, how do you "handel" the truth

"people were just stop playing there"? WOW how blind can you people be ? ? ?

People stoped playing there, beacuse when you tried to PvP with 20 players + from both sides the game was UN-playable.

Again this childish point of view ? "Meh,when I had animation delay,it was beacuse of my internet. Therefore - if someone has animation delay,it's beacuse of his net!"

Seriously, can you people actually belive that the game engine is fine? Even after reading that BioWare knew that they had an un-optimized engine in their hands? Even after reading from BIOWARE that they actually admit that their engine CAN NOT handel the High Res Textures? Even after playing Illum in mass PvP? (oh,let me guess,it worked FINE for you and the other 2 people therefore everyone els must have a ****** computer).

You guys are something

Ilum and ability delay - apparently we are not playing the same game.
Swimming and day/night cycle are not mandatory, no - but leaving them out tells you a lot about developing skills of the team and its priorities.

For the record - I personally wouldn't care what engine they use if it could handle the game.

It's pointless, mate.Talking to them is like talking to robots.

They are not programed to deal with negative facts about game.

Maby they'll get fixed in the next patch...

Since all we can do here speculate, because none of us were there when they made the choice, here is my speculation, The company that makes the engine made the best sales pitch, on paper it did everything the dev's needed and the price was right, no need to come up with long drawn out conspiracy reasons, it was chosen for reasons all companies do price..
Do not dwell in the past, do not not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

Expectations lead to suffering

RvR was effectively removed from the game, it wasn't that people just stopped RvRing on Ilum, they specifically removed it in 1.2.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

“It’s not productized yet,” we told Gordon. “There are whole sections of code that is only roughed in and not optimized for performance or security. And there are very few comments and very little documentation.”

He didn’t care. “We are going to have tons of engineers. We can finish it ourselves. We’re going to want to modify your source code for our special project anyway.”
Shame the latter never happened.
