They get a loss for not taking the queue. I cant see how this would be productive unless they are the only two groups queueing. The team that gets their queue gets a free win. Boring but I dont see the issue. WTB x-server queues though!

The point people seem to miss is that most people don't care about wins and losses in preseason, they care about getting the gear for season 1. This is preseason, a time to gear up, build comps, and work on team strats/chemistry.

better than this one particular imp guild on my server who are Notorious for cheating and exploiting. The most frustrating thing they do is... 90% of the time they actually have spies on the Republic team. One of them is completely open about it and doesn't care who knows.

He will actually respond in /say, to everything you type in /ops chat... like this.

you type:
/ops Hey guys i think the are going East.

He types:
/say ^^ Nope we are going west

And he does this for the entire match... every match...
SWTOR player's Logic: Anyone who doesn't have the best possible gear is a noob!

The taking turns winning has no place in any ranked system and it's commonly known as win trading. Pretty much anyone considers this cheating, and Bioware essentially considered win trading as cheating back in Ilum and dished out penalties for it.

Fishing the queues to get the teammatchup you want is more cloudy. As long as both teams are honestly playing to win, then some would consider that just using the only thing available in game to get to play against your friends in 8v8 and both sides are doing honest PvP. A problematic part is how do you tell honest PvP apart from win-trading...not easy if they try to conceal it. A lot of games would consider it abuse of the matchmaking system for rating gain (and comms) and would call it queue dodging.

But guess what, if you're in your nice uber augmented WH gear, then you can just leave the queue and NOT get that guild. If you get them, you leave only after they haven't left.

Let the lowbies gear up, you can go elsewhere instead of crying about it.
You can dress it up however you like but its still win trading to get a higher rating because you fail at the game. Lowbies should gear up properly like everyone else. Organized win trading is cheating.

Exactly. They are getting their gear by cheating. Did you cheat to get your gear, or did you grind for it like most of us? If you actually worked for your gear, the thought that a group of people are cheating to get gear should bug you at least a little bit.

We are doing that on daily basis to be alione in wz to finally have some kind of training ground.

I don't agree it's cheating since you are loosing rating when you leave warzone or even pop (not queue).

And who cares about rating in preseason? with th eammount of RWZ teams on my server the best rating ive seen so far was about 1750 and noone from our guild has that high coz even trying daily - we played only about 100 of rwzs since 1.3.

TL;DR - no big deal

I'm curious as to how you came to arrive at the conclusion that it isn't cheating. Bioware has already taken a stance on the issue and it IS cheating and IS reportable.

This includes the win trading tactics you have mentioned in your first post as this takes advantage of the system in a way that allows for cheating and manipulating of the player rank.

In regards to reporting these events, I would refer to my colleague's previous post in terms of submitting a ticket with as much detail as possible to our in-game customer service team for investigation case by case, and not to discuss or report potential guilds or player names on the forums.

You are getting comms for gear based on games that have been fixed. How is that not cheating? Please explain.

Did they fix the Outlaw's Den so that people in the same guild can fight against each other? (Pretty sure that was a known issue a few months ago) If so, this would be the place to practice your PvPing in my opinion.

100 games actually sounds like a pretty big number at least based on the way queues pop on my server. I'm glad that by exploiting the system you and your friends are able to get so many games.

So if you lose rating it's ok to fix games? That would be like me saying that if I threw a boxing match it would be ok because by doing so I'm losing money. I'm still wrong for throwing the match am I not?

Why are they doing this?
This guild takes turns winning, fixing the outcome of their own rated warzones. Not only that, but they claim that they are doing this to "level the playing field". They claim that by letting pugs into some of their guild groups, they are gearing up the poor and disenfranchised souls who are without gear because of the oppressive gear grinding system in SWTOR.

Why does this suck for everyone else?
It sucks because the opposing team gets a rated warzone against...nobody, and if they choose to leave their empty warzone they lose rating and the chance at some rated comms. Because of this most people have been sitting in empty warzones for 10 minutes twiddling their thumbs instead of playing against actual people...which is kind of the point of queuing for warzones. We all had to grind to get our gear, why should these people take a shortcut by manipulating the system? It also sucks because because the rated queue system is already full of bugs(like waiting an hour to get a wz only to find out there's another guild sitting around waiting for a pop as well) and we don't need any more wrenches being thrown into our gears.

So, I ask all of you.
Is this cheating?

This has been a heated debate in our own server forum that has resulted in many closed threads and posts deleted by moderators claiming that we are "naming" and "shaming" or are somehow otherwise wrong in what we've posted. We were instructed to bring this to the pvp forum if we have a pvp problem and reports the bugs, if any. Well, Mods...I'm done reporting bugs. I've reported many bugs, I've reported abuse, I've gotten no response. I've brought this to the pvp forum as you suggested. I haven't named any names. I'm not intentionally shaming anyone. Do you think maybe THIS thread can last more than 2 minutes? I'll start my eggtimer now. QUICK EVERYONE! READ REALLY FAST!
it takes u 10 minutes to win with no1 to play against?
