Does not install.
My game doesn't install. When I try to run installer it runs for a few moments and then nothing happens. Apparently something stops the installer running as it should. How can I fix this?

Greetings Felixkattekreket,

Having a number of background applications open while you are installing Star Wars: The Old Republic can affect the installation process. Depending on how your PC is set up, active Web Browsers, download and streaming media can all cause potential issues.

Try shutting these applications down and then re-start the installation process once more to see if these are the cause of the issue.

If the issue is still occurring, please reply back with a DXDiag of your system.

I hope this helps.

I have been unable to install the game properly since joining beta in November.
Each time a new client was sent out or the final client I had to unzip the files and drop them into a folder. From there I just ran the launcher and all worked fine.

After ruthlessly hunting down and slaying every active process that wasn't vitally important, the game is now installed and works! Hooray and thanks for the help!
