You can use the space bar to fast forward through all of the various cut scenes.

Use your crew skills via the Crew screen (N). If a companion is not with you, or you are just goofing off in town, they should be working on a craft.

Speeder bikes are only ~5,000 credits on Tattooine. Don't waste money buying the premium game to get a speeder bike.

Wish I knew Marauders would be this game's Bright Wizards. Took me til 1.2 to figure it out.

That they were going to add a Refer A Friend bonus 7 months down the road so I could of just refered my second account and already have it, instead of A) trying to find someone I know that would want to play TOR or B) decide if I really want the speeder and throw down money for a useless 3rd account.

I wish I knew not to pay a 6-month sub.
The story when starting the game drew me in, but it wasn't long until I realised how lazily-designed the game is. Too late by then, sadly.
