Its 27 active servers. 12 in the US, 12 in Europe and 3 in Asia Pacific.

At server merge around 3k players logged in for a heavy server close to prime time.
Since servers still hit heavy nearly every day we can assume that those numbers are still correct.

If we follow the 10% rule that would lead us to 810k subscribtions.

I gues its even more because i belive that currently less than 10% log in at prime time.
I would assume that 8 - 9% log in at the moment and that would lead us to 900k - 1012,5k

So in conclusion 800k - 1000k subscriptions seems like a good estimation.
You are a clever one, however sadly the voices of reason are drowned in amongst a sea of hate, doomsaying and trolling

225-250k. But that wont be the number they give. They will word it to include trial accounts (probable by using the word accounts instead of subs or something like that) and they will include anyone who has cancelled their account with the intention to not renew but still have time left on their active account. Remember that its up to July 1st I think so that will include anyone that came back to test 1.3 with the server merges and all the free accounts that people dont have to cancel when they quit because its free.
If this game is so great then why do so many people that love the game spend all their time in the forums?

I'll go with this one as well, between 800 and 1100k subscribers would be my guess as well

Not all of those 22 servers are hitting heavy, so I'd say it would be a bit lower than that. But I'd be amazed if it were below 500,000.

However people are saying EA won't give subs numbers this time (or again) so maybe we'll never know.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

Is that your final answer? Because its 26. 12 US,11EU and 3 asia

At server merge around 3k players logged in for a heavy server close to prime time.
Since servers still hit heavy nearly every day we can assume that those numbers are still correct.

All 3 asian servers have not gone above standard since may. Most of the EU servers only hit heavy except on Sun where they reach very heavy. 9 of the US server reach very heavy and 3 only reach heavy.

Also there were no heavy servers when they did the merges. Almost all the servers were full with queue times. Here is the thread that tried to figure out players in game to level of servers http://www.swtor.com/community/showt...&highlight=top Notice heavy is 950 to 3600 and full was 3100-3800. So how do you really figure 3000 when full has been reported at 3100 and heavy is above very heavy. Most likely its because people put in false information (really 950 is heavy and 3600 is heavy?) Not saying they did it on purpose but if you do /who 1-10 sometimes it will list players above 10 unless you do it twice in a row. Then there are probable some that just put in a low number to make it look bad. If you do look at the averages I would not give heavy 3000 but 2250. Being heavy is 2000-2500 range.

If we follow the 10% rule that would lead us to 810k subscribtions.

Since when did the 10% rule apply to peak times only? Its the average time over the entire day. Now use the average for the day for the 2 week period to make up for weak and strong days and what number do you come up with.

I gues its even more because i belive that currently less than 10% log in at prime time.
I would assume that 8 - 9% log in at the moment and that would lead us to 900k - 1012,5k

Why would you think only 8-9% log in at prime time? When does the other 91% of the people on that server play? at off peak times? If so wouldnt the off peak times be higher than the peak times?

So in conclusion 800k - 1000k subscriptions seems like a good estimation.
Again try using the average of the day and over a 2 week period and then see what number you come up with.
If this game is so great then why do so many people that love the game spend all their time in the forums?

That was my thought process, personally, although you described it in a far better way than I would have cared to.

Fewer people play MMOs in the summer so gauging sub numbers from server status is meaningless right now.

My old TBC WoW guild couldn't even raid during the summer due to absentees who were off on holiday etc.
Believing I am "skilled" at video games is central to my confidence and self esteem.

Well at least they can count on your sub, right? I only ask because you have been posting since launch according to your post history so you must be a diehard swtor fan.

You and me Emeda, subbed 'til the end, amiright?

I cancelled in feb and came back for 1.2 and then again in 1.3 to see if anything got better. Plus the forums are so much fun that its worth the 15 every few months.

Also did the numbers and it came to 435,500 subs. Which includes F2P accounts. So my number is lower than that but remember that includes all the people that came back to test 1.3 and the server merge so the averages are slightly on the high side because of that. So if someone said 350k I wouldnt agrue with that but anything over that then I dont know what people are looking at.
