now read that again...in nearly every language, that's called a direct quote.
it's not speculation, it's a direct quote from someone in authority at BW.

deny that.

See? Better than Forbes.
Yeah, Briq, it looks like forbes used an edited quote that is being used out of context here.
So, denied.

People are talking about it going free to play (F2P) - No initial payment nor a fee to access it but a cash shop where one can buy items and perks.

But why not go B2P a la GW2? That way you buy the game for 60 dollars and the cash shop is only for cosmetics and additional perks.
Very few people are talking about that sort of F2P, looking at it realistically there is no way SWTOR would ever go down that route. What we may down the line get is a Hybrid where you sub and get all content or you buy access to content in the shop (e.g. you want to travel off Coruscant/Dromund Kass to the next one you buy access to that planet, you want a Cathar and you are not subbed then you buy access in the shop).

That maximises revenue, some people sub (and some of those pay a bit extra if they are cosmetic junkies) while others buy the content piecemeal (and to get it all costs them sums approaching a sub over 12-18 months, plus they have to buy new content as it comes out so the total keeps rising). What that f2p model gives for casual players who cant afford a monthly sub the opportunity to spend the same amount of money but in smaller chunks and over a longer period of time.

The other part of the cash shop should hopefully be cosmetics/convenience and levelling boosts, so you can unlock 10% more story xp using credits in the Legacy or for cash in the shop. If it limits itself to things that give no advantage in game then it won't be too bad.

I also don't care to be the one out of ten who is actually paying for the game. I like it that all the players on this game have some skin in it, so to speak.
so u like paying 9£ a month with no new content lol ok blizzard should be your next mmo stop ! you will love it there

Well HK-51 is very soon apparently.

Of course no-one knows the actual dates, not even BioWare.

Isn't this comment kind of scary that the developer has no idea what times line the game their working on has

now comparing GW1 to SWTOR is really like comparing apples to oranges, but based on financials alone, your argument falls apart
