People act rude or need on Bio alloy's? I ignore them and they dont get the priviledge to group with me again, simple as that.

Wanna watch the cutscene's and enjoy the story? Please, do that on your own time. You are in a random group of people who are trying to complete an objective together. This isnt you and your guild having a good ole' time. Wake up and play, or, dont que for group finder....simple.

Also, if you wanna watch the story, consider forming your own group in general chat?
But whose objective are we trying to complete? In other games, there are random groups and there are different quests in specific dungeons - not everybody has them, but yet most groups will make sure you complete them because that is your objective. If my objective is to watch a cutscene, then the group should do it.

[EDIT] 2 players that paid 15 bucks : one wants to watch the cutscenes.. the other doesn`t. They are BOTH RIGHT. So, how do we decide? Well... we vote between the 4 players that make the FP, since the MAJORITY should decide anyway. If it`s split.. apply common sense, or /roll if you can`t live with it.

But if you decide to piss against the wind.. well... you might get your pants wet.
By putting it to a vote you are establishing the pace of the run. If however you don't ask, you shouldn't assume that it will be a speedrun.

By my observation and run, 9/10 WILL want to speedrun, or spend the least time running it. To me there is no question.

So, yes, based on statistic, I assume the default is the least amount of time possible. That includes, but not limited to skipping cutscenes.

Well by my observation its more like 50-50, if that, and I'm sure other people will give other numbers.
How many times do the speed-run guys actually ask beforehand if people are ok with skipping, to establish what people want in the first place, and how many times do they just assume?

By my observation the ratio of assumers is more like 9/10.
I would have killed the captain.

While 9/10 players may like a speed run, 9/10 also will not mind if someone wants to watch the scenes.

VERY true.

The ONLY time when problems arise is when players become argumentative. And those are VERY rare and VERY prone to being kicked and added to ignore lists.

This was what the OP was trying to say, I think : if we all would go off our high horses, there won`t be a need for this type of threads. One does not exclude the other, unless you start making a big fuss out of it.

You honestly think that will work?

I have queued as a healer ever since GF release. I check it every time I go to join a flash point. AT LEAST every second day I enter a flashpoint flagged as a DPS. You honestly think they could seperate the skippers and non-skippers? No, it wouldn't work.

Some assumptions are not true.

I had my valor at 68 before my social reached 2. Every flashpoint I have done has come from groupfinder.

I have never run a storymode instance. I have successfully completed every flashpoint, in hard mode, on several occasions......except for Lost Island. I learned every instance in Hard Mode. I watched every cutscene for the first time in hard mode. I have never been kicked from a pug flaspoint for incompetence. I have generally found the pug groupfinder groups to be very helpful in teaching the instance......while in hard mode.

I'll add one more tidbit. Fully augmented WH gear has allowed me to learn the instances in hard mode with little grief for the strangers I meet in group finder.

In summary:

I am an example of someone watching cutscenes for the first time in hard mode.

It would be nice if LFG tool had allowed some sort of manual group selection. At least before it came out you could post a LFG comment - "Black Talon - speed run - healer/dps/tank needed".

I personally would far prefer it if you could see a list of people or groups awaiting a full group to start an instance and what mission it was - problem solved.
No-one demanding a speed run when one wasn't intended nor people dropping out as soon as they enter an instance because its a flashpoint that they don't like.

Stop it. Now you are just being silly. YOU are not supposed to exist!
