of/c not, but why would they ruin their own game doing so? - there is more cash in a bigger crowd than a few leet gamers who needs that extra stat boost for a few pvp matches or whatever. Why cater to the few when you can cater to everyone and what they -personally- would like?

Can it be guaranteed that the current model won't turn into P2W? You don't need F2P in order to throw in a cash shop and add stat boost items.

well said, there aint guarantees for anything except that you will get some kind of service in return for spent cash - which now means access to the game and the existing content.

You obviously have no clue what the F2P model is really about for publishing companies.
Whales.

The 30% or less of a playerbase that pretty much makes up the games income once it is f2p.

So you would rather have the dev's relying on a few whales here and there, than the really minimal $15month everyone is currently paying.

It is the bolded that is missing. Whatever content has been added is not worth the difference in this $15 a month service and the $0 a month service other games offer. I know it is a lot more complex than can be discussed here, but my point is that you cannot expect to convince the masses that they be paying $15 a month to access these servers when they can access other servers for $0, the market is changing.

nopes they would rely on a bigger base of players dowloading, accessing and playing their game and -tempt- us with a proper and good shop for our individual needs - and in the same process open up more time to play the game as -we- like instead of doing a "daily" for whatever carrot in the end. But hey, if you want to grind, go ahead and do just that- there is nothing stopping you and if implemented, everything bought from the shop can be obtained with the "gameplay" called -grinding-
