2How can they not know a level cap increase yet but be positive it wount make the current endgame obsolete? More lies just to make it sound like its good.

3Also listen to about 4:20 with server trasnfers. The guy asked if they could pick and chose the server they wanted to goto and he say there will be some servers(acting like he is going to answer the question with to choose from) then he just stops. More false information.

4 Also 5:05 about cross server and mega servers. He says that that isto give the players the feel of haing more players and not that they had any intention of doing it but mentioned them so people would think they happened.

where does he say its free?

At about 5:45 the othe guy says other games have given out big things for free and semi free and no where does he say that maceb will be free on even implys it.
man you troll hard

1. that is easy they raise the level cap of the current operations. It's not that hard and obvioulsy they are going to do it so they can have end game content.

2. see #1

3. we are still not done server transfers you realize right? they even say this is going to be the first round. Obviuously he stopped because he didn't want to say paid transfers.

4. what??

5 you are joking right?

6. ok thats enough from you. If you aren't going to bother even listening to what he says i'm not going to bother replying.

E&B anyone.

I fully expect Swtor to be next on the list, prolly early next year.
you really think they will cut SWTOR BEFORE Warhammer Online, DaoC, and Ultima Online?

need i remind you how bad WAR failed?

Not to mention SWTOR still has a healthy population.

SWG ran for 9 years and had what 4 expansion packs.

Tabula Rasa is the only MMO you mentioned that was canceled. At it's PEAK it barely had over 120k subscribers. Wait let me clarify it only SOLD 120k copies more then 50% of those didn't stay after the first month. Even then it lasted over a year.

SWTOR sold well over 2 million copies and made back its budget off of the box sales (this came from the first EA investor call)

For an MMO to close it has to be sc****** the bottom of the barel like less then 10k subsribers.

SWTOR is in no danger of that.

1. so they are making level 50 endgame obsolete and are copying WoW again and giving us version 2 of old operations just like naxx and ony. Moving the current endgame to the new current endgame isnt what they say they are planing to do. If they did it would be making the current endgame obsolete by removing it to the new level cap.

5. No I am not joking. Please tell me where he says that the maceb planet will be free.

Since these forums wont let you pyrimid quotes I cant see exactly everything your answering but there are answers to 1 and 5
If this game is so great then why do so many people that love the game spend all their time in the forums?

1. its standard EQ as well as other MMOs have done this. Otherwise its just wasted content

5. watch it again and learn how to comprehend the English language.

Of course WAR was plauged with problems most notably the first 2 content patches where just stuff that was cut from launch like 4 classes and so on.

They actually extened their contract with GW so yeah it must be making a profit.

Point still being that seeing as SWTOR already made its budget back off of box sales and has more subs then WAR ever had its not likely they will be shutting down SWTOR

Yes WAR has big drops from launch till around that Xmas then stabalised till the 1.2 patch, and then lost a lot with that. After that things stabalised into a slow decline until 1.4, and the after 1.4 WAR number rose and then completely plummeted to the bare minimum the have now.

SWTOR needed current box sales and at least a year a +500,000 subs to make back their minimum estimated development costs I think.

I don't think EA extended their MMO contract with GW, they did sign something else for Warhammer Heros, but that wasn't to do with the WAR/MMORPG deal.

Which is maybe an issue with WAR (and SWG and indeed SWTOR) licences with companies like GW and LA not only might be difficult and expensive to get out of, but also might straegically be worth keeping at a lose.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

1. you dont raise the cap and then its not wasted content. It will be starter ops content for new people. They can add a new planet and story with no cap increase and people will still do it.

The only reason they raise the cap is so that everyone is on the same advancement level again. Basically its telling everyone that everything you done so far and gear you have gotten will be useless in a week. All that time (all be it in this game wasnt long) in flashpoints and Ops wiping and getting gear will be useless and now people can skip those ops and get the same higher gear as you can without doing what you did before.

5. I did watch it. Please tell me the time and what he said that he said it was free. Not where the other guys was talking about free and he said it will be one of the biggest updates ever. Bigger than most games in total. Or how fif he say it? about the size of one of the large planets in SWTOR

Chances are, in whatever form SWTOR becomes in the next few years, it won't close for a good while.

The question most people want to know: Is SWTOR going to be something that's worth my time and money for those years?

For 400k people, it wasn't, and I'm certainly not 100% sure I'd be willing to give more than a basic one year grace period.

? what is this 400K people you talk about. The people who unsubbed? It isnt just 400k. 400k was how much the total subs for that 3 month period dropped. It dropped 300k(Actually more but will say 300k so all the fanboiz dont attack) by Feb 1st. Then for the next roughly 3 month period that lost 400k+, the plus is all the new subs they got that also quit. If they had anyone start a sub say past feb 1st (again for agument sakes because its actually before jan 1st) that added sub is actually another person that unsubbed.

For you fanboi math wizards that might not understand that. If they had 1.7 million subs on feb 1st and X amount of people started a sub from feb and beyond then if they say 1.3 million subs at the end of that period that means 1.7 + X - 1.3 = Y (total amount of subs lost in that time period). Then you add the 300k+ to the 400K= to get a total of 700k plus lost subs from launch to when they released the numbers (think it way beginning of may.

Its not only 400k people who have quit playing SWTOR its alot more than that by their numbers but they just say 400k.
