End of the Road?

Is it comming up shortly for TOR?? Seeing that we already went though server "transfers", really server merges and 1.3 finally brought this game out of Beta will there be a future for TOR? I for one would like to say yes but the numbers are starting to look pretty bad. The new server I am on went from two full fleets to one fleet at half capacity in the period of less than a month.

What I want to know is how will they fix the problems with PVP and what expansion content do they really plan on for this game? Right now I see nothing but bells and whistles with stuff added in that should of been released at launch. 1.2 was a disaster for healing and killed the only open world pvp. Rated WZ's dont work becuase the majority of the class balance has made extreme imbalances. Nerfing healing crushed almost every healing class except one (why would I roll another healing class just to heal again??) Anyway I am not to impressed by the current outlook of the game.

Anyone out there want to throw in some positive stuff other than the patch stuff that should of been out during the release?

It's because there's nothing to do.

No new content since 1.2, that was quite awhile ago - and only 1 operation, flashpoint and warzone. People are running their 3rd, 4th, 5th alts in denova hm now for something to do, they have not brought out a constant event to liven things up...
don't understand whats up, give us something?

End of the road? Not by a long shot. More content is coming: new planet, HK-51 companion, new race and much more. People need to be freaking patient. The end is a very long way off.

I can.

Your post is pure conjecture based on your opinion while their is an abundance of contradictory data and research available. it is certainly ok to have such an opinion, but like so many of these "the end" posts there is no data to support them, just the opinion of the poster.

The game is solvent. Many, many people are enjoying it very much. They have come a long way just since release. They are continuing to move ahead. The only thing that I see that is hurting this game are the constant negative threads (again, based purely on conjecture and falsified information) that may either prevent people from trying it, or lend to the image being put forth by (again) those people arguing conjecture.

This thread, again, based on nothing, is not helping.

Hope that helps. ;p

STOP BEING IMPATIENT.

Complaining about no content less then 2 months after EC came out...silley. Deathwing has been out for over 5 months. I bet we get our next teir before they do!~

Its not the end of any road. Unless you are a troll and still playing WoW or planning on playing GW2.

1.4 and most of its content has been announced. Its the summer, most people are enjoying their free time/nice weather.

We just get stabalized on our new awesome servers and you are upset that there arent 400+ people on your fleet during the week. I've not seen 2 full fleets on any days except saturday/sunday.

Im realize you will just see these as excuses. The truth is, this game has leveled out with subscriptions and has retained percentage wise (speculation) more of the total mmo players population than any other mmo to date...

Vanilla WoW didnt pull this many away from EQ until after Burning Crusade, its first major expansion.

My new server is still doing fine (Nightmare Lands)....I do always mistrust posts about how bad a server is without them mentioning which server it is. Very dodgy.

What was that stuff that they used to have in the old Astrodome and other stadiums of the era? You know, the grass-like substance that was installed on the field in lieu of actual grass? Hmm...

No data, he just stated his server went from being 600+ people being on fleet to a 150 player base, that is a 400% decrease in a single player base in less then a month

The way server mergers were handled was an epic fail. As most people now know, sitting in a queue for a full server isn't more fun than playing on a dead server. Especially if your hardware has performance issues when fleet is jam packed with players.

I doubt very seriously the game will be shutting down anytime soon, there is still a large revenue stream from this game. There is probably a fair amount of content that is already partially developed, but not yet available. (based on what has been datamined from the game ~ but not yet seen) And at this point BW/EA has nothing to gain from shutting it down, and a lot more money to lose by doing so.

The senior management team made some serious errors in guiding this game during the last few months, but those same people have moved on. And that has already made room for a different group of talented people to get their shot at making this a great game. People that will take some risks, and work very hard, because they have something to prove. This is their oportunity to take a raw deal, and turn it into something that will advance their careers. And I doubt very seriously that they havn't been waiting for this chance. I'm more excited about seeing what happens in the next 5 months, than I was about this game when I first started playing it.
