Just started a new jedi knight character and tython is streaming with people, 95 people when i left in frustration (how many of those a free players i have no idea) but i started to try and do some of the fleshraiders missions and walked off towards their area only to have a dozen or so people following or in front of me.

As a solo player this is annoying and ruins my enjoyment of the game because as the game is linear people tend to the missons in the same order, but to level up you need to kill stuff (especially on the bonus missions) which is impossible on the server loads which are now being enforced on us.

The first six mobs on the fleshraider path had all been killed, so where is the enjoyment for a solo player in that when its going to take me ages to level up.

Crowded servers are fine for PVP or Grouping but some people like me dont like that and just want to solo, and seeing we are spending the same money we should be given the same consideration.

So please bioware to something to the many solo players that have now had the game ruined by the server changes.
You are by far, not alone. They should have left at least some of the servers.

I'd like to know that as well.

Be sure and check your map lower in the lower right box to see if there are alternate versions of the area available. If so you can switch and it may have lower population.

Didn't Bioware also release KOTOR? That was a solo game. Maybe MMOs just aren't for you because they cater to GROUPS of players.

They never gave an exact date but in http://www.swtor.com/blog/character-...nd-you-part-ii it shows that end of summer all remaining origin characters will be moved.

I expect that he wanted KOTOR 3 or simply do not like being around people or people stealing mobs and stuff from him. I mean really, just someone who wants to play SWTOR, not a massive multiplayer playground. I play on a Heavy population server btw.
I don't want to sound to rude, but I mean really...Why should anyone cater to a person that wants to play tor as an RPG, because it IS NOT and rpg, it was never marketed as an rpg. I mean first everyone is attacking BW to get the server transfers active, and now people are complaining about it. If the OP wants to play a RPG swtor, then I recommend buying and old copy of KOTOR, or some other RPG.

If you choose to play solo in a MMO (totally fine with it, I do it) you have to be flexible.

Too many people doing the same quest...move on to an instanced quest and come back.

You can even group up for 5 minutes with someone else in the zone, doing the same quest just to get the updates and move on.

You can disband group right after and go back to soloing to your heart's content.

So because you had to move to a different server you are no longer able to play the game? You can solo to your hearts content on any server regardless of what the population is. Sure you can get to level 50 entirely solo, but this isn't KOTOR 3 (thank God). You have to always keep in mind this is an MMO, built around bringing people together not around spreading people thin. One suggestion is to try and find a casual guild to join and see how much more fun you can have doing things with others. I mean I hate to say it, but you can't play an MMO and expect to find a single player game where there's next to no one around; asking BioWare to make one lonely server just for a couple people that don't want to be around others is kind of rediculous.

I don't know what server you are on, but another suggestion is to not play on the highest population PvP or PvE servers.

I'm still of the mind that they should keep at least a couple of the Light load servers and open up transfers to those in order to create a couple of medium population servers, like those many of us chose in the first f**king place. Being on super mega populated servers might be fine for many of us, but there are some that would like it to be just a tad quieter.

Really, everything BioWare has done with regard to the servers has been wrong. It was wrong to add 80 extra servers when people started complaining about queues at launch. It was wrong to funnel everyone onto specifically selected destination servers with no choice as to which you went to (not talking choice of any server, just a choice of destinations). And it is now wrong to force everyone left to transfer or be transferred against their will to the overpopulated servers that they don't want to go to.

BioWare, would you like to do the right thing for once? Here's how to go about it.

First remove the restriction on your pet carrot (transfer by the 30th) and let those players have it too regardless of them transferring to the servers you want them to by the date you want them to do it.
Second, for those left on low pop servers, designate and open up transfers to 3 new destination servers. This will consolidate the last of those players on to 3 medium pop servers. Those players will be happier and will therefor continue to play the game.

If you don't do this be prepared to lose another 20,000 or more subs.

Only the meek get pinched. The bold survive.
