If I were sharing your pov, I would simply hook up with people who shared my views and run them with those people. That may seem like I am being rude, but I truly am not. I just say that because I am fairly certain your pov is in the minority., In fact, if I shared your pov I would look you up and run missions with you instead of everyone else. Unfortunately, I do not share your views.

I do not find that rude at all. Too many people get upset at statements like that, but it's true. I have found a few people that like to run through the Flashpoints the way that they were designed and we have fun. This is especially true on my RP server.

Finding people that like to do the same things as you is a very important part of these types of games. I would suggest that others stop complaining about how others play (with the exception of exploits and the like) and just find others that like to play the same way that they do. Everyone would be much happier that way.

Yup, especially since F2P is mentioned.

I don't know why so many players here want to convince themselves or others that this game will end up dying or fail. So then, they look for anything on the internet regarding on whether or not the game will go F2P or how many subs there are so they can post them on the forums.

I understand this going through some rough changes but try to be positive about it. Try to help Bioware improve the game. Make positive threads, they tend to reply to them. But when a majority of the threads are negative, the only thing they do is close them.

And on Anonymous Insider, that came from the comments on this website, http://massively.joystiq.com/2012/07...yoffs-rumored/There was actually 3 "Im a Bioware Employee" comments but 2 were actually trying to be serious.

This was the the first,

"Hey guys i'm a bioware employee and I don't expect anyone here to believe me but I just wanted to let you know all this doomsaying is just a load of bull.

The truth is there are no plans to go F2P anytime soon. Yes we have a contigincy plan if subs managed to drop well below 200k. But after looking at the trends there isn't any signs that will happen.
Our plans our to keep rolling out content with 1.4 planning to come out in late September and 1.5 in December. We still have more then enough developers to keep this game alive and well.

So fear not."

This was the second,

"I know many won't believe me. but, I work at Bioware. best part for me is coming here to read fans replies. I won't tell you much and I don't care if you believe me. So here is "what's" going on were I work.

If you havent noticed the interviews we had given sometime back had been removed. mainly, the interviews that gave it "away" that we are looking at adding F2P model. we are indeed adding free to play to the game. now the best part for me is anonymity I have that allows me to be open.
We will have mainly have a "fluff" shop for the new direction with F2P. but much of the legacy system will have the option to purchase those "perk's" (the main reason credit cost are high to slow progression until we patch F2P) as well many parts of the game will have new content that requires you purchase are type of "coinage" from the cash shop so you can buy the access to "special" content/quest. now new companions will also be in the shop. but due to us getting down sized and the staff changes a small team is working on these F2P changes.
I don't want anyone to be upset by this. but many of these changes had been in the "planning stages" for many months since the sharp drop in subscribers. many parts of the game will cost money to access. for example you can unlock the new "cathar" race in your legacy. but buying the unlock, it will cost 10$ US

So we are all pretty upset here. we know Daniel and Jimmy many more are next round of layoffs. EA blames us and to some extent they're right to. but it was fan feedback from the day we opened the forums that encouraged us to design it for the fans the way it is and that included making it more like Kotor then an MMO like Wow. Also from what I have heard in the halls, Starwars Galaxies was shut down due to the fact are talks with LA,EA suits ecouraged the new guy at LA to increase the licensing fee at renewal time. it was a move to remove any direct competiton to TOR.

Sorry guys gotta go but be good to each other."

It's funny how the blogger only posted the one that was negative about the game, and leaving the positive one out.
And judging by the guys grammar and spelling on the second one, it's hard to believe that he's actually a employee.

But then again, this is the internet were finding these from. Either of them can be fake.

The only substantiated claims of SWTOR's cost say it was $200 million. Even if those numbers a fudged somewhat, you can't hide $300 million dollars; thats like hiding three GTA IV level projects.

Still, even EA themselves claimed that they only break even at 500,000 subs which is far to high and shows that the money spent was rather reckless even with LA getting a massive take from the sales. In any case, the game still has well over 500,000 subs.

People need to remember that WoW is an anomaly. MMO's are still a niche genre, and getting people to spend $15 a month is a much higher ask than just forking out $60 at launch. Especially in a market where F2P is so prolific.
I'd like to know what the numbers are after aug when the six month and three month subscribers decide not resubscribe

Seriously, I keep having flashbacks to the first couple of years of the WoW forums.

They've been "crashing and burning" since month 4, if you believed the forum doomsayers.
I draw a comic. You should check it out.

This "Anonymous Insider" thing has so been discussed, and locked, already:
http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=507623

In fact, the OP even replied to the above thread. So why, OP, are you trying to make it out like the "Anonymous Insider" was actually a Bioware employee, and bothering to open a new thread about such nonsense?

You mention some good ideas in your post, but why did you have to disguise your thoughts under such ridiculous drivel?

All of that would make sense, if not for the fact that I have seen these exact arguments before on other games that did indeed end up going F2P. The people who made arguments such as this one was no longer around to eat crow once those games went F2P.

Thing is, is anyone who has been there and done that can see the pattern. It's already begun. I hope I am wrong. I hope for once I am the one who has to eat crow. To save this game and keep it P2P I would eat crow from every last single one of you. I sincerely hope that you are right and that I am wrong.

Yeah that's another problem with it.

At the exact moment a game needs leadership and innovation, it's the same time that all the sensible people are doing their best to be as invisible as possible to the accountants and middle-management.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

It appears at the exact moment SWTOR needed leadership and innovation, they lay people off instead of hiring a new leader, Honestly, i had/ and still have hope for this game, but frankly, this is a COPY OF WORLD OF WARCRAFT.
This IS WoW in Space, im sorry, but at endgame, i see NOTHING innovative and different than WoW, and if they continue to not listen to their community, expecially people like me with big ideas such as Explained Major Features that i put alot of thought into, well, they are going to dig themselfs a grave, and throw themselfs in.

And the Complete Lack of Communication, is Not helping them at all.

Watching a Good Company Commit Suicide infrount of me, Makes me Very Angry.
Especially since in my mind, if they add everything i suggested, this game would kill WoW, but honestly if i ask a freind from WoW to pick up and come to Space-WoW, he would decline.
