Why do people hate this game?

I just wish people played the game and didn't TRY to look for bugs so they can complain. Whatever happened to people playing the game for fun and not trying to find every single thing wrong with it so they can get attention on game x's forums? That's my point here. Why can't people just give constructive criticism instead of railing on the game?
It's not about trying to sift thru the game finding some obscure bug or problem to complain about. Please, really? It's about the problems that are glaring and stick out straight in front of your face..like not being able to sit in a chair, or being stuck at a loading screen, or lagging because too many people are on your screen, or facing a whole team of marauders in pvp, or scrolling thru chat boxes trying to figure out if the guy right in front of me said anything to me, or going thru a loading screen gauntlet just to get anywhere, or ...should I keep going? I mean stop acting like this game ***** gold, mate.

It's not the worse, but who the hell are you to tell people not to voice their opinions?

People have given their feedback. You just don't want to accept it because how they feel about the game goes against how you feel about it. Anyways. Congrats for the troll post. You have succeeded in baiting people into it.

Who here has ever been jealous of a video game?

You also mistake criticism for bashing. People are mad that they are investing money in something that isn't up to the standard in mmo's. It's easy to understand that. Why you choose to turn a blind eye to it is beyond me.

This game has a lot but it also lacks a lot. From an RP perspective this game is terrible, it doesn't help immersion whatsoever. The "planets" are actually rather small. You travel to a huge planet and you are kept in this fenced in area with about 0 adventuring. The scenery never changes, its a static world no matter where you go.

I love the storyline I will give Bioware all the credit in the world for making a great storyline for the classes, but the world's they are set in are dull and boring. You run into guys shooting at each other, and kill one side, the other side is still shooting...you did absolutely nothing. Little things like this make immersion possible, and when it's lacking it takes a toll on people's personal experience in the game: not everyone has problem with it, true...but it's definitely not just a couple people who cringe at these types of things.

It's a good thing that people get on these forums and talk about the issues. It truly is. Why? Because Bioware is new to the MMO scene, and even tho this is only a portion of the population, it is the vocal one. And how else do you expect Bioware to learn what they need to focus on if people didn't tell them? Are they just going to guess? No..that's how they came out with where we are at today. Sorry but it's the truth.

Why are you sorry? It's your opinion. You don't have to be sorry for what you think.

Hmmm..I guess the reason is why I tied the jealousy part in is because some parts of a game could be better than other parts of another game and they wish they had it in their game they play but they don't, it's in this game, but they like their other game better, so the immature get angry, lashed out, and emotional and start to bash something in another game because they don't have it. That's all I meant with the jealousy part.

Trust me, this thread isn't to incite negative feelings. *unless you WANT to be negative* it's just to see different people's responses as to why it didn't live up to some expectations they had about the game and why they stay in the forums if they do not like the game. I just don't get that. Why would you pay for something you don't like? Is there something still there for some of you who were disappointed? I'm very curious.

(anyone who takes anything offensively, there is no need to get defensive about anything. I am simply wanting to discuss about this topic. I am not calling out anyone or doing anything to anybody. I am just curious) Thanks guys!

Why do people take things so defensively on the internet? Why get so defensive? I'm not calling anyone out or anything nor am I "anyone to say people can't have their own opinion" When did I EVER say people can't have their own opinions? When? I have never said that EVER on these forums. I am simply asking why the people who can't STAND THIS GAME still pay to bash the game on these forums. That's my question and I am seeking your guys' opinions to see what you think about it. That's all it is. i am not trying to shut anyone up that's moaning about the game or anything. They don't like it...that's fine.

Because it should have been a singleplayer game, but you know, EA.

You don't seem to know what a troll is. I guess everything these days is a troll post. A troll is someone who makes up facts, or spins the subject into something else to purposely get anger out of people or be a menace in a thread, blog or something else. I would really like to hear your thoughts on the game please. What you would improve if you could.

There's a few reasons why I love/hate it. Mainly being that it feels like an incomplete game it's missing things that should have been added before release. I felt it was rushed out even though Bioware claims it was ready. I like the game and I love Star Wars. I'm hopeful for some updates that will bring some more life to the game.

Well if any of you think I'm a HUGE supporter you are right. But....

there are things that I NEED in my mmos. See...I'm a GIANT roleplayer, I do nothing but sit in AION sometimes for 5 hours a night and roleplay with people sitting on a bench, go into character in a forest and just...live out dreams.

But in TOR I will admit I was PISSED OFF when you couldn't even sit in a Cantina in the chairs, or sit in the Throne Room on Alderaan or anything like that. I roleplay having my own personal quarters in games and having players come to me in game and I craft them things for free. While I'm sitting down in a chair. I can't do that here Do you know how much that irritates me guys? Plus no chat bubbles!? Are you kidding me? Those two things right there MAKE roleplaying! Then..don't even get me started on no voiced emotes....I don't get that. Why can't I HEAR my character laugh or smirk or make a sound when he smiles or anything like that. Then, when I heard sitting in chairs was in I jumped with joy! I logged in and tried it and it worked!! You want to know why? I was on my ship :'( THAT is the biggest tease of all time in an mmo. Do you know how mad that made me? Finally..after waiting all these months for sitting in chairs, to be able to sit...wait no no no no, just on your ship. We will have all these couches/chairs/beds everywhere in the galaxy but you cannot sit. Only on your ship. What the hell is up with that?

I want to live out my dreams in my head. That's why I roleplay in mmos. I will admit, the atmosphere is right for roleplaying, but there isn't much for hardcore roleplayers like me in this game. There just isn't. Why can't I talk with a buddy while sitting in a Cantina drinking Juma all night and playing Pazaak?? You had Pazaak in Knights of the Old Republic in 2002. This is 2012. You need Pazaak. You need more roleplaying features. Remember, massive multiplayer online ROLE PLAYING GAME. ok? You need to remember that. People need to have great ways to roleplay. Especially in Star Wars. Everyone wants to live out their fantasy. The stories are AMAZING and the voice over is amazing also, but we need just more...little things to make it seem alive. Gambling, pazaak, working casinos. Stuff like that.

I can understand where the frustration is because I am there with some things about the game. But I don't see the reason to keep paying for a game that you hate. That's the point here. See? Even I don't think it's perfect

I had 3 screens on my desk with my laptop hooked up to one of them. I play the game while on the forums. Mainly to see about certain variations between classes and stuff, to get tips
