If this game fails, which I hope it doesn't, it will most likely be due to the constant flame. I get the need to let the developers know what you want but people need to understand that they are only making the game worse with this kind of hateful banter. Most people don't know how to lead by example and will literally cancel their subs from the crap that gets posted up here so ease up, be patient, or stop playing.

P.S. - No one cares if you are going to cancel your sub so don't bother posting about it on the forums.
The game won't fail because of flamers. It will fail due to people being disconnected so much. Right now it is unplayable for me. When I can't even finish a quest turn-in conversation, there is no way I am going to pay any more money.

Rifts community forum. Their mods shut down any thread that has anything hateful to say about the game or about developers/development. That is about the only thing that game has going right about now.

Sounds like you logged back in after the server merges. You know ... kind of like they did here, except rift did them far better. I remember logging in here and seeing 2 people on the fleet. I took the merge and bam... 200 people on the fleet.

If you were trying to bash rift... then perhaps you should bash it for a problem that ToR doesnt have.

Actually, the real talent does move on. It takes much less talent to sustain the product. Of course "move on" has different meanings. Many times they move on to a new project with in the company, but on occasion they take the opportunity to find a new project elsewhere.

In this case, lay offs were and are more related to the acquisition by EA. They were going to happen regardless. But I think it is fair to speculate as to how deeply they would have cut had the game preformed better from a business perspective.

Actually there was a good 1-2 month pause in the negativity.
What I think happened was everyone who disliked the game left 2 months ago.
Now with summer, you have a lot of new kids(no offense) joining the game. It takes about 2 months to get level 50 and finish the end game content in this game if you have a lot of time on your hands, like kids on vacation.
These new people are reaching the point where they realize this isn't a good game.

SWTOR mods did that too. Maybe not every thread, but the vast majority a few months ago.

Really people shouldn't be comparing the success of SWTOR to Rift, one's a triple A title with THE biggest IP, THE biggest publisher, and one of the biggest developers. The other has none of these things going for it. Actually come to think of it, compariing SWTOR to Rift makes SWTOR look even worse.

I was comparing forums, not the game. The actual game and community forums should be moderated and they aren't.
