Months later, and this board's community STILL hasn't changed.

In every negative thread, 90% of the posts consist of the community flaming the TC.

Outside of swtor.com's message boards, many other message boards (GameFAQs, Reddit, etc) perceive this site's community to be horribly one sided, and a laughingstock.

Part of the blame when this game is fully abandoned will be in the community's hands, for being so hostile and hateful to those that aren't mindlessly praising the game.

The more you mindlessly flame, the more people that leave until you'll have to have server transfers yet again.

It comes in waves...
After good things (like the last world event, or when the transfers first happened), you see a lot of positive thread, but it does'nt last.
Then, in between big updates, you have a normal period of cooling down, and this is where the negative posts come to their peak.
If your thread title is not a variation on "open letter... BIOWARE,... fail... NOW!", then you are a fanboy

I dare you to find a gaming community forum that doesn't just devolve into vitriol and hostility. Most of the time, people are just trolling or just being antagonistic, and get off on the feedback they get.
Some people find it funny, I fail to see the joke, and no one ever explains the punchline.

Others do it because they feel obligated to spice things up in the community by being absolute [censored]s. Because who wants to post on a board where everyone is civil and reasonable? Who would honestly want that? Seriously.

I have never seen a more hostile community towards a game than this one,i think it must be generational or the WoW people,i never played WoW but i have played EQ2 for seven years and i recall the first year or so the posters who wanted the game dumbed down and the EQ2 staff listened to them too,but guess what those people that wanted those changes ended up leaving any ways but not after the damage they did and made many other great players leave due to the changes.

Only in the last two expansions has EQ2 went back to the early day's,and if i could bet,i would bet that most of these people who post these negative comments or some of the absurd changes are young and they always fail to look at the big picture and the long term ramifications of what they are suggesting.

Yes, because Forums are more than 1% of the actual playerbase.. and because ONLY the Forums are to be blamed for the actual game.

Take all rage with a grain of salt, and understand that these schmucks are trying to piss people off. And are soapboxing thinking it will actually have some sort of effect...
...I would like to imagine that the Devs and other people of interest are like me and can discern the actual community feedback from the turds that spew forth from the mouths of the grognards.

Hmm... go take a peek at D3 boards. Makes this place look like sanctuary.

Did you never play Everquest 1? Verants forums make this forum look like my little pony land. In those days the Devs used to flame too.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

I couldn't agree with the OP more. I am tired of seeing the same threads about cancelling subs or how BW is not doing their job. I really like this game and have a great time playing it and it's hard to completely ignore the haters when there are so many. If this game fails, which I hope it doesn't, it will most likely be due to the constant flame. I get the need to let the developers know what you want but people need to understand that they are only making the game worse with this kind of hateful banter. Most people don't know how to lead by example and will literally cancel their subs from the crap that gets posted up here so ease up, be patient, or stop playing.

P.S. - No one cares if you are going to cancel your sub so don't bother posting about it on the forums.
