That has nothing to do with what I posted. L2Read

First of all this is a sub based MMO. Completely different business model. This is not CoD. This game had over a 200 million dollar budget to launch with. That does not include on going costs of development teams/servers/licensing fees etc. If the number falls below profit margin... which was stated to be about 500k subs then the game dies. Companies do not keep non profitable games on the market very long. Some will yes but at the expense of other things... such as development staff that produces content and expansion packs. Hence why I said everything before that you want to dismiss as me needing a logic class.

COD's Player base is Gigantic, those servers are maintained by the Companies who are a part of the game, TOR has 12 Servers. Most of the money we pay goes to Content and Upkeep, doesn't sound like CoD players are paying that much for Upkeep, and yet they only pay once. So, bounding from that, you can see that this isnt the ToRtanic.

Yay more insults.

Well when logic doesn't work sometimes you have to dip down to their level, ya know? [
Good luck with the hysterics, hopefully you find your ToR Activists. But Point is, people will play till they dont have fun anymore then they stop. That's up to BW to make happen, not you sparky.

You're making your rounds today huh, bro? You have like 10+ hate posts in about 10 different threads. Do yourself a a favor and stop wasting your GW2 Beta weekend posting here.

Ah! The light comes to surface! We have discovered someone who's a little upset they aren't in the beta right now, huh?

Has everything to do with what you posted. Perhaps you should reread what you posted. You claimed 2.5 to 3 million subs. I showed you wrong at 1.7 (quite a bid difference in over a million subscriptions). You claim it continued to have those subs for more then 6 months when I showed you a 400k subscription loss and a continued down spiral. Bottom line is that you are trying to exxagerate how much the game is making and I showed you the factual numbers. It has everything to do with what you posted so you can go "L2Read"

Again... completely different business model. Comparing CoD to ToR would be like comparing your home kitchen to an outback steakhouse franchise.

The problem is that your logic is wrong so you turn to insults. Thats poor arguement forming. You say I need an education?

So I am a newly returned player. I've been back about a week. I don't really care about all the stats of server counts and whatever else... all I want to hear from BW is that the game is going to be around for a lot time without a bunch of stupid changes.

See, the thing is, I really like what they've done so far. I like the group finder. I like the classes. I like the pvp (except for the lack of an epic 40 v 40). I played at launch and then quit. The game wasn't ready. Now it is. I wish they had launched with this version of the game, but they didn't... still, I will continue playing for as long as they keep the changes IN THIS DIRECTION coming.

I think I will even start asking my friends back too.

There will always be stupid changes in an MMO. Thats just the nature of the genre.

I agree that if they launched with what we have now that the game probably would be doing better then it is. The last 3 updates could have been mostly content updates instead of quality of life. They may not have to wasted time on server merges, although part of that was just a bad decision to open up that many to begin with.

I will say though, I fail to see how this game is that much better that people who quit the game are now in love with it.

@ Soluss

The fact is he created a thread saying that he has re-subbed and is CURRENTLY enjoying his time here. There was no reason for you to come in here and bring the thread down in such a negative manner with your negative opinion. No reason whatsoever. It's community members like you who cause people to turn away because they don't want to deal with your negativity, no matter how right or true it MAY be. Take it to a thread where people actually share your sentiment. It's not necessary to go after someone who is having a positive time. It may be your opinion and you are entitled to it, but it wasn't the right time or place to do it here where the OP had a positive attitude about coming back. All you did was turn it into a negative thread, which it wasn't supposed to be.

@ Your 400K Subscription loss ---

If you've played EVERY MMO out there, you would understand that the initial 1.7 millions subs was an inflated number with the short-term players using the 30 days of free game time. Just saying --- since you know so much.
