Yeah, if we get a random event on this schedule pace... it wont even be once per year.

Listen guys, I've been complaining a lot for being on a dead server. All i wanted was a commuity to play with. They gave me that and now I'm happy. There are things missing? They will come. They won't? Others will. Take life enjoying what you have instead of thinking about what you are missing. How much did you play of this game? Did you play all the pvp phase? Did you play all the pve phase? Did you explore all the planets? Did you do all the story arcs? How many classes you took to the end of their class story?
I'm here since beta and still having new stuff to do. The only 2 things I'm really missing are male body tier 2.5 and other 4 (at least) character slots, then I'm done for another year.

TU'PAKH 60 SW/Mar - YACHIN 60 SI/Sin - A'SHARADD 60 SW/Jug- KAASDAR 60 IA/Op

No...and that's not what I said. People complain that it isn't being released fast enough, yet when they do add stuff those same people complain that they rushed it, it's full of bugs and that it shouldn't have been released yet. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

The first time WOW sub numbers went down was in Q4 2010, before that they had quarterly gains. A year into the release of WOW, they had several times more subs than what SWTOR has ever had, and were breaking records and getting awards.

I'm here obviously and this is the game I prefer, but I really wish that people would stop trying to rewrite history with the "WOW had even more trouble" nonsense...

According to that chart, WoW didn't reach SWTOR sub numbers until 1.5-2 years after release.

WoW also launched in a time that MMOs were for nerds. They were not as popular as they are now. Im not defending WoW because I personally hate that game but its the truth.

The other effect is this... ToR will stabilize around 500k subs (my guess and opinion). I dont believe ToR will keep anywhere near 1 million subs after this month(if it even has that many now). It was stated that 500k subs is about ToRs break even/make a little profit point... which does not bode well for the consumer.

It doesnt matter how many subs you start with. What matters is how many you keep and if you can keep growing or atleast stabilize with a profitable margin. Showing a sub loss at 25% after the first quarter is not very good and the number is going to keep dropping. MMOs today have a brief window in which to draw people in. Most people dont go back to a game they left. Most people dont pick up a game for the first time... a year or two later. Something really big would have to happen to do that. Look at history man.

We had one event, but that wasn't very dynamic (sure, it was nice, still not dynamic). RIFT has dynamic events, GW2 will surely have also dynamic events, but SWTORs events aren't dynamic, they are just events... which happen too rarely.

Strange. I've played quite a few MMO's that had few (if any) events at all. Perhaps the problem is expectations, rather than the possibility of having them?

there was that event where a gm followed around players as a droid and harassed them if that can be considered a dynamic event

That's great, but I'm not sure what this has to do with what I said.

I was pointing out to the person I quoted that the graph they linked didn't support what they said.

I agree it doesn't matter how many subs a game starts with. But it seems we have been a minority on these forums since launch.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to prove to me......
