They did. People just like to pretend like they are God's gift to the forums and putting off the illusion that they actually know what they are talking about. Which is why anytime somebody posts a question that I am also interested in knowing the answers to, I have to sift through about 10 pages of crap before I finally find somebody who actually knows the real answer.

I hate forums....really.

This is not up to you to decide...thank god. We are Star Wars fans first. MMO players second. This is what you get for playing a game that brings with it Star Wars Fans. People have to feel comfortable with their characters before they can enjoy the actual game. Can't say I blame them. I can't play a Star Wars game if I can't stand the way my character looks. If I can't stand the way my character looks, I leave and find some other game to play.

And if I feel this way, you can bet your bottom dollar that a lot of others feel this way too. Sorry bud, fluff is a must with a big name like Star Wars. Besides, there are separate teams for what you are demanding they do first. Not sure why you think for a moment that this thread or it's idea would even interfere with what you want for the game.

I tend to play female characters, but I have one male character. I chose type 2, because type 3 looked too much like a beef cake muscle dude, and type 4, well, looks ok in a comic-book guy sort of way. Then there's male type 1... yeah, I want to play a wussy stringy little dude who's body type resembles Wesley Crusher in ST:TNG. hehe. So male type 2 it was, although he is a little short, I made him bald with a look that resembles Bruce Willis, and what's not to like about Bruce Willis? I'm a female, in case you are wondering!
Type 4 for males was made because 60% of the players are overweight anyway and the guys normally laugh about it. But there is not a fat female type because most gals would get offended. And what guy ( most female chars are played by males ) would want to play a fat female? Not very many and those who would , would have sinister reasons. In the majority of the cases, every player looks the same because the way the armor designs are. In other words, you cannot take the char creation in TOR serously. It is lacking in many ways.
Trust is something which is earned.

I wouldn't consider it a bug - it's more of a stylistic thing and clearly not everyone's tastes are for Bioware's art direction concerning character appearance. More choices on everything appearance wise would be better though!

I personally like the big booty, though the chest shape from the side can be a bit weird and the thighs on the male a bit too long, but it's hardly that big a deal. Body 2 on both genders seems the most tolerable mix style wise for me.

I've got more problems with the other body types for both genders. Female 1's face looks peculiar, and yeah - another female body looks like a man with lumps on his chest. Male 1 is odd also in that it's not just shorter, but the torso and head are strange and child-like. Though I wondered why female 1 wasn't also shorter, so females could have a height difference too.

if this is the big issue bugging you I can only imagine how you feel about actual gameplay bugs. If you don't like the look don't wear it? does it do it with every single item you can wear or only with certain ones? Also body type 4 females are the greatest thing bioware has done with this game.

I remember reporting this bug in beta. Annoyed me then but once I got a real light saber it was only a little annoying

Their problem from the start was calling it "customization" and putting "create a unique look!" on their homepage.

They've already decided what we're going to look like by giving us only 6 orange quality appearances per class, 50% of which look rediculous (samurai hat with a form-fitting body suit?). Our only choice in the matter is how many credits we have to spend moving mods around to figure that out.

Truth is we need a body between Prince (tier 2) and Conan the Librarian (tier 3).

It's a bug because if you turn characters sideways in the preview windown they look normal and don't have hippo sizes bum cheeks .

In regards to other bugs this is an issue for the art team and fixing this bug would not prevent the raid designers, pvp teams or crew skill developors fixing their list of known issues so please don't use it an excuse not to fix art bugs.

This is by design for when Bioware implements same sex relationships.
