Swtor Same sex romances, what happened?

Well I see nothing wrong with what he said. He asked why cant we have a game without having gays in it that must be visible. If they want to add it then it doesnt matter if they do or not but to insist that they need to add it is wrong. Next maybe we can have midget toons so they are reppresented in the game. Then we can have every other minority or special type of people included also. Then every update will have nothing in the game but adding in stuff for all th especial groups and nothing about star wars.

This game is about star wars, people are playing it because of star wars not because they can or cannot have a gay relationship with their companions.

Again point taken. Not sure if you read my post on page five. I posted a lengthy post. For the record I do just want the game to be about SW and not real life stuff. Not to sound insulting to anybody but I just don't see how real life issues have anything to do with a Star Wars game. I do however indulge in the debate as I find it interesting that so much people push to have real life in a game. It is supposed to be our escape from our reality. To be clear I look at it from a statistical standpoint. I see same sex romance hurting the game not because of what it stands for, but because those who are gay are actually the minority and thus from a data standpoint the mere idea of it being in the game might not be practical. No offense folks but simply put it deals with numbers...there are less of you then there are less of those who don't want it in the game. In the end the numbers won't lie, and a business will not add something just because a few want it.

His post suggests being gay is wrong, that it will harm children if they are subjected to a storyline I
involving something gay. That's a homophobic, uneducated attitude. One that shouldn't be tolerated because its an opinion. There are lots of people out there with opinions they know are very very wrong.

If subs drop due to the gay option, option that is, as in it's not being forced upon anyone, then I would be flabbergasted.

I wouldn't say its law so much as it is just going to be implemented. I would also speculate that if the feature is added then a content feature should be added for parents who do not want their children subjected to it. However just because BW says it is going to be implemented does not mean it will be as desirable as you all think. In fact we have all seen how the romancing is in the game currently. So in all actuality I would be willing to bet that the story line will be no different then it is currently, but you will be able to have the romance so to speak with the same sex or the option to not. Key in on where I said my speculation.
