Swtor Same sex romances, what happened?

Am I allowed to express my distaste for such an option here? Or will me disagreeing with the gay community get my post deleted? Seems like anytime somebody protests the idea, they are instantly shut down with a deleted post. Maybe I am wrong, but I do disagree with this even being remotely necessary in Star Wars.

if this does take place, then I suggest Bioware let the public know with a warning label that parents should be aware that there are gay suggestive themes in the game before parents buy this game for their kids.

Well, it is mainly because of the fact that whenever someone said anything against the implementation of this feature (even if his post were civil and polite), he got a couple of infraction points (and if he collected enough of them - he got banned for some time). And you cannot have a discussion when the half of the posts get deleted.

You should express your opinion and others can disagree or agree. I disagree with you and if I had children I wouldn't want you or people like you around them or NPCs in a game like you

I agree, they already wasted time on ranked warzones which only a very small part of the player base even use.

My question is where is everything they have talked about ? is is still happening or did this new round of lay off's push us back way back

I am not against any content for any part of the player base, the game needs so much for the overall player base.

What facts? All I have seen you and others post through this entire thread are opinions. Here is a fact for you? None of us know what they are planning in terms of same sex romances. None of us know specifically what their intent is on it. Here again is another fact. Everything and I stress everything in this thread is pure speculation up to and including my own opinions on the matter which I will not post.

The fact of the matter is until Bioware officially denies or confirms whether same sex romance will be in the game it is safe to bet that it won't be until otherwise stated by the officials who develop this game. You can't in any way shape or form even remotely prove that the entire player base should or should not be subjected to same sex romance based on previous games or anything else for that matter. You also can't substantiate that we the player base would or would not enjoy more pvp, or OPS based on any of the current content whether it is good or bad. you also are unable to admit that you are in fact the minority in this endeavor no matter how good or bad that it is. You pull sources from other venues or games, and try to imply that because BW has done it in the past or other games have done it in the past that it should in fact be implemented here as well. I am sorry that the standard you feel should be in the game is not. however regardless of how much any of us spend on this game certain metrics are literally involved with what will be launched next. it is part of better practices for "all" business to what they will do next based on statistics. Did it ever occur to you that statistics for same sex romances may have a devalued attraction to the game based on statistical data? I do not deny that it would not be a problem for me if it were in the game in fact I support the game as a whole in ensuring "all" parties enjoy the game. So you have to realize that regardless of what you and the minority wants....it will be implemented or not implemented when Bioware so chooses. not when you or I choose.

Provide all links that state specifically that Same Sex Romance will be added this year. Also can you provide any data that would prove same sex romance would actually be good for the game as a whole? <-----not meant to be degrading but looking at factual evidence only.

And Ill say if not having SSR is ruining your game play, your looking to have your game play ruined as even the existing character/companion relationships are quickly forgotten about as mostly meaningless fluff at best.

Rather see Pazzaak, swoop racing, holo chess, DAoC RVR, mentoring, housing and design, and a whole assortment of other things that at least have the potential of appealing to all players equally.
