Eurogamer 8/10
etc etc etc...

those were good or excellent reviews. Horrible is 5-6/10

It amazes me how the internet community created a notion that SWTOR is bad and dying (or already dead) and afterward believed this notion, with evidence of the opposite. Droping numbers of subscription after a phenomenal launch was imho to be expected (not wished for, but expected). Sub numbers will stabilize, and maybe grow at some point, but I'm confident it will stay in the top 5 subscription based mmo's for a long, long time.
Sadly, we will never know how GW2 fares a few months after launch because of the f2p model. But I can tell you it WILL go through the same cycle SWTOR is going through now. Never again will a game launch and grow and grow and grow like WoW did. WoW was an anomaly, and it will never, ever be like that again. Even Diablo 2 did'nt achieve that.

Oh, and to the point of this thread: same feeling concerning GW2 for me. Can't play it for more than an hour top without getting an uneasy feeling. The questing hubs bore me, doing stuff until your bar fills up bores me... I agree I'm more a PvE'er than a PvP'er, and I hope the PvP community enjoys GW2 when it launches. But... I was expecting more or GW2. The feeling I get when playing it is NOTHING compared to the feeling I got when I first played SWTOR's beta...
Do you honestly think SWTOR is a good game.

Really?

I was reminding Blavastsy that SWTOR did NOT get horrible reviews.
I don't have links as i don't follow bloggers in the gamer community so i don't even know their names but some of those attention getting types with followers have bashed it up front or have re-reviewed it with not so much happiness and sun shine the second time around. So he could be in reference of those reviews but like i said Im not into that as i am not into the official press reviews either..

For the Record, SWTOR received innumerable multitudes of HORRID reviews.

From gamers, beta testers , independent fans sites , people that matter.

Your Industry sources may all show glowing reviews and that's just fine and dandy.

At this point we know what reviews mattered

No matter how you twist and spin it, GW2 is just another fantasy story rip off, nothing original about that. SWTOR is still a better MMO, even when its obvious EA/Bioware isn't trying to update this game

Saying SWTOR is better than GW2 isnt saying much.

You're talking about two crappy games

You got an example of a non-crappy game?

Yes I do

and I still play it .

Its not WoW or Rift or anything you have heard of.

You see, there was a time when MMO wasn't a common term and people like you had no idea about online role playing games.

The days before the flood gates were opened and the Great Unwashed poured in unabated and demanded the genre be re-envisioned to their liking.

And So, All MMO that you know was cast in this image . The American Standard we may as well call it.

Lowering expectations so all can compete.

You got what you wanted , enjoy it here in SWTOR or WoW or Wherever you land.

No , i wont tell you what MMO i think is a good one. I dont want you there

Thanks for calling me:
Ignorant, "The Great Unwashed", a carebear, whatever.

None are true. I actually really enjoy text based MUDs, and tabletop as well. I do not really like WoW.
I even have problems with SWTOR, but it lets me connect with some real life friends and relax. I like the world itself.
So please don't peg me as some oblivious fanboy.

I asked for an example because I've seen this fervent negativity from you, but never anything constructive or really even specific. Always blunt, vague statements. Please, tell me which game you love that I've never heard of. It will make you seem less like a troll. I promise I won't invade its sacred ground.
