It drives me crazy and I wish they'd fix it, but we don't know how difficult it is to fix it and how much work they may or may not have put into it. *shrug*
This excuse does get old after awhile though, and after this long still unfixed, it's a little old.

It's been real but the game just wasn't worth the sub for me anymore.

Not a bug; won't be fixed.

Artistic integrity.

I think it's more a function of gear design.

In general, it seems BioWare's art team assumed all Consular characters would be female, and all Knights would be male. I'm still holding to the forlorn hope that one day my Shadow will get some gear that looks Shadow-y, rather than making him look like a demented Christmas Tree angel.

They are laughing at you.

They dont take the game seriously and neither should we.

The "Big Butt" bug is just more proof

although the big butt thing is kinda annoying i guess, its teh chest thing that bugs me.....all puffed right out to inhuman levels. dont get me wrong, i dont play games like this for total realism, but its nice when the humans (all races in the entire game) actually look kinda like humans. or at least add some races that are not humans. since every single race in swtor is human.

Jedi aren't the only one with this problem. Troopers see it too, with that kinda tabard design (cloth in back). It almost looks sillier, when mixed with the heavy armor.

Also, I wouldn't call it a body type 2 bug - it's present in all body types and looks just as weird (or weirder) with body type 1 than 2, at least the problem "from behind".

Unless you can show me where a Bioware developer or artist has said this, I cry ********. Here's why:

1. Using the character preview system to preview how the gear looks on you does not have this issue. This issue crops up with the Trooper waist-capes, but the waist-capes behaves as expected (i.e., no big butt) in the character preview.

2. Not all robes have this issue.

There are a lot of things I would like to change about the body shape system & char system altogether. Type one female looks like a pre teen, Type two female.. more woman but still anorexic looking..Type three female.. dude with breasts. Type four female, big butt and big breasts.. but at least looks like a woman and not a kid.

Hairstyles for females.. omg what were the developers on! There are about three styles I use. The others.. I just look and wonder.. Make up.. don't get me started there.. and why tie the eyebrow shape in with the complexion? It does not make sense. The heads themselves....I think there is only one I use to get a decent looking female.

The whole character creation needs a shake up and expansion. More choice. Its bad enough that at end game we all have to run around in the same gear. So give us some more choice to be individual.

Type 2 male.. is way too small looking.. There needs to be a type between two and three in the male choices. I see the issue you are pointing out and I had noticed it in game myself. Things like this can tend to irritate.

I have been known to reroll a level 46 because a hairstyle was grating on me. When you play these characters a lot. These start out as little annoyances but they build to the point you just don't want to play the character.

Good post, I agree with it all. But the two points you noted above I can SO AGREE WITH! Although I have yet to re-roll from level 46 due to hair style, the inability to change those things grates on me terribly.

I tend to play female characters, but I have one male character. I chose type 2, because type 3 looked too much like a beef cake muscle dude, and type 4, well, looks ok in a comic-book guy sort of way. Then there's male type 1... yeah, I want to play a wussy stringy little dude who's body type resembles Wesley Crusher in ST:TNG. hehe. So male type 2 it was, although he is a little short, I made him bald with a look that resembles Bruce Willis, and what's not to like about Bruce Willis? I'm a female, in case you are wondering!
