Neither my husband nor I have any desire to resub next month - GW2 will be our next destination and Lotro's RIders of Rohan.

I may come back in a few months to see if anything has changed but definitely not re-subbing in August.

I will not going to resub 1st because GW 2 is almost there 2nd because i m dissapointed i expected more for a SW.
It was cool to play with all my friends first then they all left , i lost interest and pvp became boring there's no competition ...

I've also just returned.
SWTOR was the first real MMO I've played. I come from a tabletop RPG and singleplayer CRPG background. I was usually not very interested in MMOs because they felt far too "gamey", like they were aimed at people who are into it for the numbers and the gear etc. and not for the simple pleasure of immersing yourself in another world and enjoying the stories and exploration. I also don't play for ridiculous amounts of time per day. I have lots of other hobbies.
At first, I was a bit disappointed and overwhelmed (if it's possible to be those two things at once) when I played SWTOR. I don't have a very good PC so I ran into some ugly graphical bugs and glitches, plus I encountered some less-than-nice people. So I went back to Skyrim.
As I said, I have now returned and I'm amazed at how much I'm enjoying it now. I don't know what happened, but the game runs smoothly and the community seems to consist of nice, cool people (I did transfer to another server). I'm having much more fun in my new class than I did before and really enjoying this as an epic multiplayer KOTOR. Once the storyline is over, I don't think I'll even play all this "endgame" stuff I hear people talking about (I don't really see the appeal of it when there are no more stories or locations to discover) . I'll just roll a new character and enjoy that one's story, just like I would in a singleplayer RPG that allows for it. I guess I'm a different kind of player than the usual MMO audience, but there are a lot of people like me out there and I think many of them will enjoy this game. I'll be staying until I've played all the storylines I want to explore.

The world event was daily downtimes

But seriously, I subscribed for six months in February. I still have awhile to go. I want to stay with it, but the aforementioned downtimes and bugs are getting to me.

My sub runs out and with Guild Wars 2 coming, I cant see myself returning to this. The total lack of regular content updates, Biowares inability to get the servers stable thanks to their clunky programming and the fact I am left wondering just what on earth do the hordes of Community managers do here apart from check forums?

Communities build MMOs and I havent seen anything from them to make me want to stay as its just not worth the money.

SWTOR's core structure is pretty much the same base model of every mmo and you'd probably be pretty naive to think that after such a short time it would change. You wouldn't buy a Toyota and expect, that after a few updates, it would suddenly become a Porsche would you?
Without expectations there are no disappointments.

LoTRO started getting too expensive for me, I pre-ordered Isengard and that was a mistake, someday I might go back but for now I don't have any friends there

I'll stick with SWTOR, resubing 6 months =D

If you go through the statistics of just the few pages of post on this thread you will actually get a hint of some statistical evidence of the concurrent trend. Ironically there are more people just in these threads that are re-subbing vs. not re-subbing. very interesting. Could somebody else check my statement by going through each thread and seeing if they see the same trend I am seeing.

I tell you this: though neither he nor they yet know it, he is the greatest of all the Jedi. Jacen Solo is the living Jedi dream. Even without the Force, he is more dangerous than you can possibly imagine."

I probably have just about the same amount of time. 1.3 turned it over for me so I'll renew my subscription month-to-month unless something goes seriously awry with the game in the next 30 days.
