KOTOR and KOTOR 2 are my favorite games EVER, Star Wars are my favorite movies and galaxy/franchise, BioWare are my favorite devs and I LOVES mmos... so this game is in fact a GODSEND to me!!! I love it that much. I don't think this is true. But if they DO open up a cash shop to purchase the Legacy perks and races and all that. I'm gone sadly. I can't STAND cash shops. It's such a ploy, a scam. It's the principle that hits me. If you are going to make a cash shop make vanity ONLY. I don't do anything mainly but this game. Seriously. This game is my life! I have COUNTLESS hours, days, months put into this game. The servers are filled with my characters that have Legacies maxed out that I EARNED. If they seriously put in a system where a person can just simply buy their Legacy up...I will be EXTREMELY irritated guys. Listen...this game means a great deal to me. I believe this is all just rumor, but if it is not...that is the BIGGEST LOAD OF CRAP I will have ever seen a company pull. There should not be options to simply buy ur way up. What's next buying xp? lol just kidding!! im just kidding. It's the principle behind it....doesn't anyone see that? Again. This game won't be f2p because it hasn't dropped into serious terms. I don't believe it will be f2p but that post was mainly IF. Sarfux, The TOR addict!

Wow. I really hope no one believes this stuff. The passage the OP quoted is quite obviously a troll by someone who needs to take a refresher on basic grammar and usage. There is absolutely no way the person who wrote that made it through 4 years of university and landed a job at a desirable company like Bioware. Just no way. But I have my doubts. However, it makes a whole lot more sense than the notion that a game with 500k+ subs, in a market where 250k is considered lucrative, would go free to play. Particularly when the parent company owns three other subscription MMOs with far less subs. WAR had 750k subs at launch, dropped to 300k, continued to decline, and still retains a subscription. UO and DaOC are old enough to be considered classics in the genre and retain subscriptions. It is only logical that SWTOR will follow exactly the same route as these other three games.

What the heck is wrong with the moderators of these forums?? Why have they even let a garbage thread like this exist? I am a huge fan and supporter of Bioware but threads like this left open are beginning to make me think that they don't even give a rat's *** about their game. Their own forums should not be a cesspool of negativity, that's what places like mmochampion.com are for.
