I think the problem most people have is that there's a lack of content every month

Well if they came out and talked about their plans and how far along they are every month that problem could be somewhat alleviated. But who am I? I'm just some peasant handing them $15 every month so my suggestion is irrelevant

Think it in a DDO/LotRo model.
  • either F2P or you have access to all content with your monthly sub, still you need to pay for bigger Xpacks.
  • As VIP (paying the monthly sub) you get "free" tokens allowing you to buy items in the cash shop.
  • Still you can use your credit card to get more tokens and buy fluffy or convenience items.

Pretty sure that's how it'll work.

"Hey guys i'm a bioware employee and I don't expect anyone here to believe me but I just wanted to let you know all this doomsaying is just a load of bull.

The truth is there are no plans to go F2P anytime soon. Yes we have a contigincy plan if subs managed to drop well below 200k. But after looking at the trends there isn't any signs that will happen.
Our plans our to keep rolling out content with 1.4 planning to come out in late September and 1.5 in December. We still have more then enough developers to keep this game alive and well.

So fear not. "

And a f2p model save it? I don't think so :S.

Trion World's Rift have 200k or less, and they puting content every couple months, and working on fresh expansion set. Why BioWare can't do the same? :S. F2P is not the solution, only a method of payment, they should make a game more lively updated.... If people want toys for 10 bucks, go another game -.-!

Can you expand on the secret space project? You mentioned it at launch and stated a Soon™ for more information but that was December! Soon™ has become Too Long™

EA blames us and to some extent they're right to. but it was fan feedback from the day we opened the forums that encouraged us to design it for the fans the way it is and that included making it more like Kotor then an MMO like Wow.
The above is your proof that the post is indeed Troll. BW rarely, if ever, listened or reacted to any of the fan feedback in Beta. Every change they made during Beta was also more WoW oriented than what existed before. Obvious.

Trion rift subscriptions go to Trion,

EA has to give Lucas Art a chunk of its pie (not sure if a percentage goes back to Bioware), plus content for this game costs more

Just something to think about when your comparing this game to another
